The creature you see before you is one I've been pursuing for years. Not quite a man... but not quite an animal. Something... unholy. Something evil.
~ Theodore describing the Angel in his tape.

The Angel, also known as the Creature, is the secondary antagonist of The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor!, the third episode of The Amazing Digital Circus. It was an NPC, made to serve the role as a mysterious creature beheaded by Baron Theodore Mildenhall who roamed around the Mildenhall Manor, antagonizing anyone that it comes across.

It is voiced by Payton Goodwin.

Appearance[]

The Angel is a being with pale skin, a thin, humanoid body and small, bony wings covered in eyes on its back. Its face is vaguely humanoid, with lopsided eyes and no lips or ears. When beheaded, this head can grow in size greatly, emitting bioluminescence and revealing a gigantic toothy maw with eyes in the back of its mouth.

Biography[]

Background[]

Baron Mildenhall would apparently encounter the Angel outside his manor and, fearing for his family’s safety, would kill it, beheading it and keeping its head as a trophy. Unfortunately, he would find that the creature’s separated head and body were both independent and haunting the manor, leading to the Baron becoming deeply paranoid. Eventually, after shooting his wife dead in an accident, Baron Mildenhall would discover that the monster was an angel and that he was doomed to Hell for attacking it. Thus, he’d leave recorded messages to lure any passer-bys into taking his place in damnation while he himself was holed up in a cellar, eventually dying clutching his shotgun. In the meantime, the monster’s headless body would continue to haunt the manor while its head remained mounted in the trophy rooms.

The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor[]

Kinger and Pomni first find the Angel's mounted head upon entering the basement of the manor, where they find a VHS informing them of the creature's origin. Exploring the basement for ways up back up to the ground floor, Kinger finds another VHS that informs them that the Angel's head and body are trying to reunite with each other and that the listener should keep constant watch of it, with said tape ironically being placed in a location far from the head's location. The power goes out so Kinger and Pomni try to navigate through the darkness, only for Kinger's attempts to swat a fly to draw the creature's attention, which briefly hypnotises Kinger before Pomni snaps him out of it. The duo escape into a dumbwaiter, only for Pomni to realise it's going the wrong way and the duo plunge into the cellar.

Arriving in the cellar, Pomni and Kinger find recordings of the Baron's last moments, with Kinger also grabbing his shotgun from his corpse to defend Pomni from the monster. The Angel's head and body descend from the basement, which Kinger kills with a shotgun shell each. Unfortunately, the Baron's recordings start playing again, revealing that the beast is a holy creature and that he lured the duo into killing it so that they could take his place in Hell. Thus, Pomni and Kinger are dragged into the underworld, leaving the Angel's fate unknown.

Fast Food Masquerade[]

Pomni is still traumatised after her adventure into Mildenhall Manor, recounting the horrors wrought upon her by the Angel and the Baron to Zooble, who wasn't on the adventure, prompting them to ask Caine why he thought they would like that. When Caine says that they should give him some suggestions, Zooble mentions that they do and reminds him of the suggestion box, which Caine checks. One of these suggestions end up being the adventure for that episode.

Trivia[]

  • When referred to as one of "God's" angels, it's unclear whether "God" is another character within the narrative of the Mildenhall Manor, or the omnipotent Caine, who has been referred to as God by other NPCs in previous episodes.
  • The Angel, alongside Gummigoo and Disappearing Guy, is the only character outside the main cast to have a plush.
  • Seeing as Kinger seemingly hallucinates a vision of Queenie, his abstracted wife upon looking in the Angel's mouth, it's theorized that the eyes in its maw are those of the abstracted and its mouth could be a portal to the Circus's cellar. This is unlikely, however, as the eyes bear no resemblance whatsoever to those belonging to the abstracted.
  • Its appearance is somewhat similar to The Angel made by Trevor Henderson, albeit it having arms.
