Angela Rivers is the main antagonist of the 1967 British horror film Berserk!. Angela is the daughter of circus ringleader Monica Rivers, returning to the circus to terrorize Monica and the performers to get her mother's attention.

She's portrayed by English actress Judy Geeson.

Biography

Angela resented Monica's work running the traveling circus taking time away from Angela. Angela eventually got sent away to boarding school, but she was expelled. Returning to see Monica never changed, Angela set out to destroy the circus by killing all of Monica's colleagues. Angela first cut the tightrope of Gaspar the Great, killing him. Monica's business partner, Albert Dorando, is then later murdered. Everyone suspects Monica, so she saves face by promoting the new tightrope artist, Frank Hawkins, to co-owner of the circus. Angela appears unexpectedly, so Monica puts her in a knife-throwing act. When magician's assistant Matilda tries to seduce Hawkins, Angels sees another opportunity to get Monica'a attention. She sabotages Matilda being sawed in half to genuinely kill her with the trick. Angela reveals herself by cutting Hawkins' tightrope during his performance, and since Hawkins performs over rows of bayonets, he's impaled on the blades. Angela professes her outrage against Monica for not being family to her and confessed her crimes and motives, before trying to kill Monica in the end. When they run outside, Angela is fatally electrocuted by live wiring during a rainstorm, and when she's dead, Monica weeps over her.
