Biography[]
Early life[]
Before Angela married Richard, Angela gave birth to a son named Rafiq. Eventually, Angela married Richard and Richard adopted Rafiq. Angela and Richard had two more children together, Richie and Dana. Angela then became a professor at Columbia University. Later in their lives, Richard and Angela got divorced. Richard then married a young woman named Pilar and they had another child together while Angela stayed single. However, Rafiq became a drug dealer trying to copy Richard's drug, purple magic. When Richard caught him in the act, Richard murdered him.
After Richard killed Rafiq, Angela found out about his death. Richard manipulated Angela into believing that Rafiq was killed during a police raid led by Detective Elliot Stabler. Angela, overcome with grief and rage, told Richard she wanted Stabler to suffer like she was suffering. This led to Richard ordering his underlings Izak Bekher and Sacha Lenski to murder Stabler's wife, Kathy.
Law & Order: Organized Crime[]
Meeting Stabler[]
Angela first meets Stabler when he approached her at the university asking for questions about her husband. Angela lied to Stabler and told him that her husband died years earlier from a drug overdose. When a visibly distraught Stabler tells Angela that he witnessed his wife's murder, she begins to feel remorse for her role in it.
Later, Stabler joins the Organized Crime Control Bureau and begins to investigate Richard's father, mob boss Manfredi Sinatra, suspecting him and Richard of being behind Kathy's murder. After Richard kills his own father, Angela tells him that the police had just been over to their house asking questions about him.
A Burgeoning Romance[]
As time goes by, Angela and Stabler grow closer, and she starts to buy groceries for him and his son Eli. While at the grocery store, Angela invites Stabler to a charity dinner Richard is throwing. There, Stabler and his partner Ayanna Bell attempt to arrest Richard for smuggling COVID-19 vaccine, but are caught up when the numbers didn't match the stolen ones.
Stabler's PTSD, a result of Kathy's death, starts to get worse, and he reaches out to Angela for comfort, as she is the only person he knows who truly understands his grief. Stabler started to visit her regularly, until they finally share a kiss. However, after Bell discovers that Bekher built the bomb that killed Kathy, Stabler and Bell approach him at a secret location. During questioning, Bekher reveals that Angela ordered the hit that killed Kathy. Stabler then arrests her for Kathy's murder.
Arrest and Attempt on Her Life[]
Angela is held at the precinct behind bars until interrogation. Stabler interrogates Angela, demanding to know why she ordered Kathy's murder. Angela tells Stabler the whole story of Rafiq's death, but Stabler says that he had nothing to do with it. They both then realize that Richard killed Rafiq, and made her believe Stabler was responsible so he would have her "permission" to kill Kathy in hopes of scaring Stabler away from investigating him.
Angela is released from prison and put into witness protection until Richard's trial. However, Richard orders corrupt cop Diego Morales to assassinate Angela by poisoning her while she is in the shower. Angela suffers a massive seizure, but survives. Richard orders Morales to poison Angela again in the hospital, posing as an orderly. Morales is caught, however, and commits suicide-by-cop during a hostage situation. Angela is rescued by Bell and Stabler's former partner, Olivia Benson.
Soon afterward, Eli is accused of murder, and Stabler comes to Angela with his suspicion that Dana framed him. A frail-looking Angela claims that she does not know where Dana is, but once Stabler and Bell leave, Angela reveals herself to have fully recovered, and opens a bottle of wine for Dana as she enters from the backdoor. She advises Dana to get out of the city for awhile until the investigation dies down.
After cyberterrorist Sebastian McClane escapes from prison with Richard's help, Stabler meets with Angela at the cafe and asks whether McClane is working with Richard. This is when Stabler begins to suspect Angela of faking her disability and side-effects from the poisoning. Later, Angela has dinner with Wheatley and McClane, and it is revealed that Angela helped Richard plan McClane's escape.
Richard's Trial[]
Angela is approached by Bell and Assistant District Attorney Dominick Carisi Jr. to prepare her testimony for Richard's trial for the murder of Kathy Stabler. Later, Angela testifies at Richard's trial and tells the jury that he ordered Morales to poison her. However, Richard's attorney, Rafael Barba, manages to twist her story and make her admit that she is in love with Stabler. Despite her damning testimony, however, Richard is released after the jury deadlocks.
Death[]
After Richard and McClane disrupt the city's power grid, she joins her ex-husband in attempting to flee. Stabler calls her, however, and tells her that Wheatley murdered Richie. Richard denies it, but Angela knows that Stabler is telling the truth. She then deliberately crashes her car into the ocean, with her and Richard in it. She is killed, but Richard's body is never found.
