Piece of advice: Pack up your things and clear out of here before somethin' happens to you...the air around here ain't healthy for you...
~ Angelface advising Lucky Luke to get out of Tumbleweed.

Angelface is one of the two main antagonists of the Lucky Luke story Rough and Tumble in Tumbleweed, the second story in Pat Poker. He is an infamous outlaw from the titular town of Tumbleweed that hates foreigners, shepards and sheep. He teams up with Pat Poker after he got defeated by Luke, and witnessed Pat being defeated by Luke as well.

Biography[]

Lucky Luke arrives in Tumbleweed after a rough ride, and he enters a saloon, and is well-received there as a result of his successful confrontation with Pat Poker from the previous story. However, Angelface, a brute who hates foreigners comes into the bar and threatens Luke if he doesn't leave. Lucky Luke refuses and proves his shooting skills by shooting a pack of five flies flying above him, which surprises him.

Infuriated by this, he shoves Luke's hat down his head and threatens to slam him on the ceiling just by sneezing too hard, but Luke retaliates with an uppercut, sending him flying to the ceiling where he hits his head. Dropping on the balcony, he takes a small pillar of the stairs and snaps it in half, before throwing it outside the saloon, accidentaly hitting a sheepdog in the process. As he was about to hang it's owner, Lucky Luke catches him and drops a bag of flour on him as he was about to shoot. Angelface is then hanged by a hook, vowing revenge on Lucky Luke for humiliating him.

He then encounters Lucky Luke again in the saloon and challenges him to a gun fight, but he is defeated again when he steps six feet backwards like Luke does, as he falls down a small hole behind him and gets punched out by someone who was digging it. Later, he decides to work with Pat Poker, seeing how Lucky Luke would make him gain a lot of money. Meeting him at the saloon, he offers Pat Poker a business proposal, where he would be paid for the killing of Luke, though he would only see the rest of the money if he is not actually dead. At night, he asks a man where Lucky Luke is hiding.

The man tells him that he is inside the hotel, residing in Room 9, in the second floor. Glad to know his location, he gives the man $100 and goes inside the room. However, instead of Lucky Luke, he instead finds a woman who gets angry at him for trespassing during her sleep, causing her to take out her dual revolvers and shoot him out of the room. It was then revealed that Angelface was tricked the entire time as Luke had placed false number on the room's door.

Despite messing up on his goal, he is then given one last chance by Pat Poker. They then discuss a plan to get rid of Lucky Luke, where he would be spying on him playing a card game with Pat Poker, distracting the cowboy and allowing him to take him down easily. Angelface agrees with the plan and goes inside the hotel to get in position. Everything seems to go well at first during the evening, but this eventually backfires as Lucky Luke learned about the plan and rigged Angelface's Winchester rifle, as well as not sitting near the window.

The next morning, he encounters a sheriff searching for Pat Poker. He tries to turn him away, but the sheriff doesn't seem to be fooled by this and tells him to get out of his way. As he was about to arrest him for obstruction of justice, he traps him inside a barrel and tosses him away into a building. Little does he know is that this allows Lucky Luke to catch him inside the saloon. Seeing what seems to be Lucky Luke enter the saloon, he shoots him several times, but was tricked yet again as Lucky Luke removed his boots and his hat on the saloon doors to make him think he is there. The two then decide to fight one last time, with Luke winning the fight by punching Angelface into a wall, knocking him out. Despite not being seen again afterwards, he is arrested alongside Pat Poker for his crimes.
