Angelo Bronte's Mob are the main antagonists of Chapter 4 of the action video game Red Dead Redemption 2. When the Van der Linde gang arrive at Shady Belle and step foot in Saint Denis for the first time, they hear about Angelo Bronte and his mob, and they meet with them. The mob are usually around Angelo Bronte, protecting him. After his death, they are taken by Guido Martelli, and he becomes the leader. It is unknown when they were founded, but it's most likely somewhere before 1898 where the events of Red Dead Online take place.
Influence[]
The mob have control over the whole Saint Denis, and most likely the state of Lemoyne too, given they work with the Lemoyne Raiders. They must also have control over Rhoades, given the fact that they've worked with the Grays before. They also are connected to the Braithwaite's. When Catherine found out that the Van der Linde's must be coming after them, she sent Jack to Saint Denis, where it was given to Angelo Bronte.
From the conversations, it is implied that Bronte treated Jack very nicely, given the fact he was a hostage. He gave him italian food and slippers and some toys even and a nice bed, but this was most likely due to the fact that Bronte knew Dutch was coming, so he wanted to make him believe that he didn't mistreat Jack. The mob also work with Street Urchins, given the time where Arthur talked with a boy, that looked 14 to 15, about where Bronte is and the boy tried robbing him, but failed. Bronte must trust the kids if he gave them the location of his house, or another theory is that it wasn't that he trusted them, more or so make them believe he does.
The highest form of influence they have is the fact that they have control most of all the Lemoyne state, even including Saint Denis. Bronte is friends with the mayor, but it is heavily one sided, Bronte thinking nothing too big of the mayor. The mayor however, seems to be heavily in debt to the mob, given the fact that in one of the letters, Saint Denis is heavily built by using Bronte's money, which gives Bronte a form of control. One other major part that Bronte has is the Saint Denis police, which is in his pocket, to which is described that Bronte let's them fill the cells. Before he's about to drown to death, Bronte tells the Van der Linde gang that they are nothing and that they stand for nothing, meanwhile he runs a city and that when the cops find them, they will die like nothing. Killing Bronte was a mistake on Dutch's given the fact that this lead to Hosea and Lenny's death. It is unknown if Bronte also had control of the pinkertons, or if they were a part of the United States Army.
However, there are some people that are not afraid of Bronte's mob, including Thomas, a man working at the Bayou in Lemoyne in the swamps. He helps the Van der Linde gang when they help him get a boat and save a younger man working there, when they also encounter the Legendary Bullgator and Thomas also helps the Van der Linde gang row in the back of Bronte's mansion, to which the gang assaults his mansion and kills Bronte.
Members[]
The mob is run by Angelo Bronte, from it's foundation to 1899. With him, he created it and has control over Saint Denis and even if the mob is organized crime, he is a form of politics on the city. The mob, doesn't have a lot of key members, besides the usual goons controlled by Bronte and Guido.
Angelo Bronte[]
Angelo Bronte is the boss of the Saint Denis/Angelo Bronte mob and he has controlled it for the most time. With him, he managed to make connections with most of the gangs, families and form of politics in the state of Lemoyne and Saint Denis. He's one of the more ruthless and cowardly members, often letting his men do all the work while never getting his hands dirty. But he is also smart, for example, the time he almost had Dutch, Arthur and Lenny killed in the mission "Urban Pleasures" when he suggested at the party that they rob the station, since it's usually filled with money during the time of day, only for the 3 outlaws to find just 10 dollars and a quarter and getting wanted by the police. He is the former leader before he got killed by drowning.
Guido Martelli[]
Guido Martelli is the current leader of Bronte's mob, him being the one to take over the mob. He doesn't have many appearances in the main story, only appearing at the party, laughing alongside Bronte, but he does appear in the Online. He appears to not like Charles, him owing money to them and forcing members of the mob after him and John in the Epilogue.
Associates[]
- Street Urchins
- Braithwaite family
- Gray family
- The Saint Denis police

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
During Chapter 3, before the Van der Linde's raid Braithwaite Manor, Catherine Braithwaite sends the young Jack Marston to Saint Denis to Angelo Bronte after he sold him. The Van der Linde gang politely enter the Bronte's mansion and talk to him, saying that they were innocent bystanders and had nothing to do with the burning of the corn fields. Bronte points out Dutch twists words and lies shamefully and about how he thinks he's better than everyone else, to which Bronte out of nowhere laughs and introduces himself as the van der Linde gang introduce themselves. They talk to Bronte and ask if John can get his son back, to which Bronte responds with of course, however, John and Arthur must firstly go to the graveyard and get back at the people who tried to go graverobbing without asking for Bronte's permission. After Arthur and John do it for him, Bronte gives them Jack back and also invites them to a party at the mayor's house.
At the mayor's house, Dutch, Bill, Arthur and Hosea go to the party and go upstairs to where Bronte is. Bronte laughs along with the gang as he points out all the politicians down there. Dutch asks Bronte if he knows any place where they get money, and Bronte suggests the train station where the tickets are bought, saying that all the money is there in the morning, lying with a smile on his face. When Dutch, Arthur and Lenny go to rob the train station, they find out there is absolutely no money and that Bronte lied to them, which angers Dutch. After this, Arthur and Dutch go to the Bayou at night where they talk with Thomas, a man that isn't too fond of Bronte himself. Dutch and Arthur help Thomas with retrieving a boat and saving another young worker, who encountered the Legendary Bullgator. After this, some time later, Thomas helps the Van der Linde gang row in the back of Bronte's mansion and invade the manor he works in. In the manor, John knocks out Bronte and takes him hostage and they carry him to the boat. The pinkertons show up and the gang kills the pinkertons as they get in a boat. Back in the boat, they row for a bit when Bronte wakes up. Dutch mocks and taunts Bronte, to which Bronte reveals his arrogant side by telling them "You are nothing, you stand for nothing. Me, I run a city! And when the cops find you, you'll all die like nothing!", to which he ends up getting drowned and fed to an alligator.
After Bronte's death, the Bronte mob become hostile whenever they see Arthur.
The next time they appear is in the Epilogue where they have a certain hatred towards Charles, him being a street fighter for them. When John Marston comes to him in 1907, asking him to help him build beecher's hope, Charles accepts but before they can leave Saint Denis, trouble happens as Guido Martelli's men attempt to have them killed, but the former outlaws take care of them.
