The new emperor of Venom following the collapse of Andross' regime, the Anglar Emperor is currently the latest antagonist opposed by the Star Fox team in the timeline of the series after the Aparoid invasion.
Description[]
The Anglar Emperor resembles a humanoid variant of the anglerfish. He has a bulbous antenna on his head that droops down, resulting in the light hanging above his face. A golden ring surrounds the antenna's base, presumably acting as his crown. His eyes are green, and his mouth has pink lips with a beard of four useless "tenticles" underneath. His outfit consists of a purple robe, but what is underneath is unknown. When the team battles him at the end of the game, the Anglar Emperor has a second form that looks more like the anglerfish that his species was based on. In this form, his body is blue.
Biography[]

Combat[]
The Anglar Emperor has six phases to his battle. The first two phases have him controlling the Arrow Head, which attacks by firing ring lasers. The Arrow Head's weakness is destroying the sections. It can also swing its tail at Fox. The second phase begins upon damaging the segments sufficiently, with eight of them surrounding the head and flinging themselves at the Arwing. Fox has to shoot them back while also dealing damage to the head. Performing a Kulbit or Immelmann Turn will cause the machine to position itself in front of the Arwing, however. After enough damage, the Anglar Emperor flees the wreckage to continue his battle.
During the third phase of his battle, the Anglar Emperor is fought in corridor mode. Three objects that resemble sea mines float between him and Fox, who has to change their colour to red with laser fire. The emperor will respond to this by firing a pink laser that can be deflected with an Aileron Roll or Barrel Roll, exposing his antenna to attack. After his health drops to 75%, phase 4 begins, playing just like the third phase. Fox must repeat his strategy from phase 3 to continue to the next phase, except with depleting the emperor's health to 50%. During the fifth phase, the emperor flees, and Fox has to destroy the mine-like objects while avoiding girders. After destroying them, the Anglar Emperor returns to continue the fight, using Andross's signature inhale. Fox can resist this attack by putting on the brakes; if he gets caught in the jaws of the emperor, he will take big damage. The emperor will then spit a cluster of tiles from his mouth that Fox needs to avoid. Throughout this phase, the Anglar Emperor's antenna can be shot.
