Anna Nishikinomiya is the main antagonist of the series Shimoneta: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist. She is the president of Tokioka Academy's student council and a childhood friend of the main protagonist, Tanukichi Okuma.
She was voiced by the late Miyu Matsuki in Japanese and Monica Rial in English.
Appearance[]
Anna is an attractive clear-skinned young woman with silver hair, teal-blue eyes and a overall pretty face. The PM around her neck resembles a snowflake, unlike most characters' PMs.
She appears to have a slim figure. In the academy compounds, Anna is often seen wearing her school uniform, a gray and black suit with a white shirt and red tie under it. She also has formal and casual outfits as well.
Personality[]
At first, Anna was an extremely kind and pure person who followed her mother's wishes in catching infamous dirty joke terrorist Blue Snow (without realizing that Blue Snow is her best friend, Ayame Kajou). However, because of her purity and innocence, sometimes she is unable to distinguish what is lewd and what isn't lewd.
However, Anna quickly developed a much more creepy and perverted personality after an accidental kiss from Tanukichi Okuma. Without knowing how to process her love for Tanukichi, she has tried to get Tanukichi alone with her on numerous occasions so that they can have sex. She also developed a "yandere" personality, becoming extremely jealous whenever she saw Tanukichi hanging out with another girl. Anytime she attempts to stab someone, she always claims her hand moved on its own.
Biography[]
Anna is the daughter of Sophia Nishikinomiya, the leader of the PTA who has been pushing for stricter morale laws in Japan. In "The Mysteries of Pregnancy", it was revealed that Anna first met Tanukichi at a daycare when they were both very young. Tanukichi had been ostracized by society because his father, Zenjuro, was arrested for being a dirty-joke terrorist. However, Anna was the first person in months to even interact with him. Since then, the two became friends but seemingly grew distant overtime. Not long afterward, Anna met and became best friends with Ayame Kajou, whose father was arrested for "shtuping" a high-school girl. Anna states that Ayame can be hard to talk to at first, but she's quite a softie once you get to know her. She told a story about how Ayame once cried after being scratched by a stray cat while trying to pick it up. As a kid, Anna was extremely successful. She had gained a black belt in judo and even won piano competitions.
Three years prior to the series, Anna first attended Tokioka Academy, the highest-ranked morale school in all of Japan. She had gained some of the highest scores in Tokioka, became the president of the Student Council and, as per her mother's wishes, has attempted to catch Blue Snow, but never succeeded. When Tanukichi Okuma first attended Tokioka, Anna decided that it would be best to invite him to help catch Blue Snow since Tanukichi previously attended the lowest-ranked morale school in Japan. After hearing Tanukichi's story of his father, Anna knew that Tanukichi was truly a changed person and wanted to be morally pure. However, in "How to Love Someone", Anna had been dealing with stalkers who sent her tons of pictures with creepy messages. Anna grew so paranoid of the stalkers that even a water bottle made her flinch. To try to catch the stalkers, she and Ayame would go on a fake date to make the stalkers jealous and attack Ayame. Their plan worked, but as Tanukichi punched one of the stalkers, he lost control and accidentally kissed Anna. Afterward, Anna felt a tingly feeling which she had never felt before.
While she tried to ignore Tanukichi at first, her feelings got the best of her when she ejaculated on his doorstep, sent him tons of creepy love letters, and even raped him in "The Saying Goes...Love Is Justice". In the next episode, her perverted activities only grew worse as she fed Tanukichi cookies with her "love nectar", then tried to assault Tanukichi several times in order to taste some of his "love nectar". She also held a knife to her best friend, Ayame, out of jealousy. When she started to ejaculate for another man (not realizing that it was just Tanukichi disguised), Anna became very upset and tried to commit suicide by jumping off Yatsuga Forest. In "Handmade Warmth!", after the vibrator that Anna was wearing accidentally turned on, she chased Tanukichi around the school, and with the help of Otome Saotome and Raiki Gouriki, finally got Tanukichi all alone. In "What SOX Created", Anna distracted Gouriki yet again in order to rape Tanukichi. In "The Devil Blows His Own Trumpet", Anna broke into Tanukichi's apartment and stood with a knife for hours until Tanukichi woke up since she was sleeping with another girl (Kosuri). After he told Anna that Kosuri was his half-sister (and Kosuri pushed the act too far), Anna pushed Kosuri to the floor and stabbed around her "Five-Finger-Fillet" style. In "Dirty Jokes Forever!", Anna attempted to assault Tanukichi yet again.
Abilities[]
Speed: Anna is shown to have superhuman speed when she is chasing down Tanukichi, which can be seen in "The Mysteries of Pregnancy" and "Dirty Terrorism Benefits Whom?".
Strength: She is also shown to have uncanny strength. She broke a tree branch in "Dirty Terrorism Benefits Whom?", lifted Tanukichi up with ease in "What SOX Created", and even climbed cables in "Dirty Jokes Forever!". She has also fallen off very tall heights on a couple occasions, and she survived both of them seemingly without any injury.
Trivia[]
- Her father works for the National Diet, and her mother is the leader of the PTA.
- It's unknown how she was expelled and no longer serves as student council.
- In anticipation for the Shimoneta English dub, Funimation released an article explaining how to make Anna's infamous "love nectar" cookies from "Dirty Terrorism Benefits Whom?". Unfortunately, the article has since been deleted.
