~ Samuels to Booth, avoiding him from Sweets. |
Anna Samuels, or by her alias Allison Taylor, is a minor antagonist in Season 8 the 2005 FOX crime TV-series Bones.
She was the daughter of the late FBI agent Harris Samuels, who was primarily involved in the Crystal Creek siege that went awry, having killed many cult members and including several agents alongside him. Samuels' father received eleven shots total as a result of the raid, which signified the amount of shots she fired towards many other surviving FBI agents involved. Christopher Pelant used her grief to his advantage to push his game further towards the Jeffersonian, as well as attempting to assassinate Lance Sweets by proxy.
She was portrayed by Sarah Stouffer.
Biography[]
Not much is fully known about her backstory with her father FBI agent Harris Samuels when he was alive, but only after the fact he was involved in a raid at Crystal Creek, Vriginia, where many cult members and several agents like him were killed. After Harris Samuels' death, Samuels was then left as an orphan and brought into institution where she was diagnosed with complex grief disorder.
Samuels' Rampage[]
Christopher Pelant, who was a primary target of the Jeffersonian and the FBI for long, found and observed her records as a person who distrusts the FBI. So, he treated her as a surrogate for his attacks, doctoring videos as Harris Samuels to Anna Samuels as a means for revenge against the FBI for "covering up" the father's death and that she would ultimately kill FBI agents to "avenge her father." One of those victims was Alan Friedlander, who she lured to a picnic area on a hiking trail where she would shoot him eleven times; alike her father who suffered eleven shots total during the raid.
Up next was Jeff Stone, who she also shot with eleven bullets. Instead of fleeing, she stayed and acted as a traumatized witness under the alias of Allison Taylor who saw the shooting happen, explaining the ordeal to Seeley Booth. She then blamed rescued cult member Zane Reynolds for the murder of Stone, and much implying that he'd been responsible for Friedlander as well. It was later revealed that Reynolds was Pelant's red herring, so the Jeffersonian discovered that Samuels was the murderer. Samuels then called Booth about the whole ordeal and that she asked to arrange a meeting in order to "share more information," unbeknownst to Booth that he is meeting the murderer.
Assassination Attempt[]
Pelant hacked the traffic lights to get Lance Sweets stuck in traffic at Harding Avenue, which was then Samuels' next primary and easy target since he's unable to move anywhere due to the traffic. When the Jeffersonian found out Pelant is targeting Sweets, they sent Booth to the scene as Samuels was approaching towards his car. Once she saw Booth from behind, she rushed towards Sweets and would attempt to assassinate him with her signature pistol. Only then, Booth intervened in time and injured her; it was a close call since the shot was merely millimeters away from reaching Sweets.
Sweets got out of his car, seeing the debacle, and aimed his weapon towards a downed and conscious Samuel, who is then imprisoned or institutionalized following the incident. It's unknown about her status after, but it's most likely that she recovered from her gunshot.
