Anna Worthington is a minor antagonist in the animated series Codename: Kids Next Door.
She was voiced by Anndi McAfee.
Appearance[]
Anna is a slim girl with blonde hair tied in a ponytail. She wears rectangular glasses, a magenta neckerchief, a pink blouse, a brown belt, a magenta skirt, and penny loafers. She always carries a clipboard and has a pencil tucked behind her ear.
Biography[]
Anna first appears in the episode "Operation: P.R.E.S.I.D.E.N.T." where she is introduced as the assistant of Gallagher Elementary's fourth grade class president, James "Jimmy" Nixon McGarfield. She is constantly at his side, writing down notes on her clipboard. Kids Next Door Sector V are escorting Jimmy to a meeting at City Hall where he plans to shorten school days and make pizza lunches mandatory. Anna expects to accompany Jimmy there on School Bus One, but is blocked from doing so by the Kids Next Door, who won't allow civilians on board. She reacts with anger and frustration, but Jimmy tells her not to make a scene so reluctantly she stays behind. When she is alone, it is revealed that Anna is working for the Delightful Children From Down the Lane, who want to stop Jimmy from getting to City Hall. She calls them on a communicator to inform them she wasn't able to get on School Bus One, but they assure her they have other plans. As Jimmy himself has at this point not yet turned evil, it can be inferred that Anna started out as a spy for the Delightful Children, but gradually her loyalty to Jimmy as well as feelings for him became genuine.
In "Operation: S.N.O.W.I.N.G.", Jimmy has become corrupt and tyrannical, ruling the school with an iron fist. Anna assists him with his latest plan to kidnap all the fourth grade students of Gallagher Elementary on the first snow day of the year. He wants them to attend a special assembly at the school where he will crown his queen. In preparation for this, Jimmy had Anna ask her uncle, The Common Cold, to make Numbuh 1 ill. Anna is unaware that Jimmy's intention was to get Numbuh 1 out of the way so he could pursue a romantic relationship with his girlfriend, Lizzie, which was his whole reason for turning evil in the first place. When she discovers the truth, Anna is devastated as she secretly has a crush on Jimmy and thought she would be his queen. She then decides to sabotage Jimmy's plans, releasing the imprisoned Kids Next Door from their shackles and helping Numbuh 1 to evade Jimmy's defenses so he can sneak into the school. After Jimmy is defeated and captured by the Kids Next Door, he discovers Anna's betrayal. She confesses her love for him and explains that was why she was so devoted to working for him as his assistant. Jimmy is touched and returns her feelings. The two are then taken to the Kids Next Door Arctic Prison together.
