Antares, or the Antares Imperium, are a major nation in the Roblox games, CENTAURA and Dead Ahead.
Antares was a major nation that conquered all of the Centauran continent and nearly took control over their world known as Forma, but was later defeated by several countries known as Orion, Hydrus, Libra and several others in the Forman Wars.
Biography[]
Formation[]
Antares was a long-standing country in the Centauran continent, located in the south. The Imperial Tau Bloodline had ruled the Antarean nation for centuries. It was formed after the 4 nations of the south: Skorpius, Norma, Lupus and Ara united diring the 1200s.
They were extremely proud of their power and strength, and they thought that gods in the stars chose their people due to their population. For centuries, they attempted to invade and annex their north-eastern neighbour Aquila, but their attempts were mostly unsuccessful. One of these attempts was in 1875, which the royal prince at the time Kalvin Tau participated in. Barely surviving, he was traumatized by the conflict, and vowed to end the concept of war by uniting all of Forma under a single state. Kalvin, believing he was trying to save more lives, also prohibited his relatives from joining the war, although his son Aran Tau ignored this.
Antares would began to take notes from neighbors, studying their tech and strategies so that they could prepare for their conquests and defeat them quickly.
CENTAURA (1911-1944)[]
Reflecting the beliefs and ideologies of the Corvus Confederation, they would later become allies during the South Corvus War in 1908-1912, which the Corvuns were at war with Cetus at the time. This alliance was also aided by the Marriage between Aran Tau and Anna Khorin, made to strengthen the Khorin-Tau Alliance. After accepting Corvus' request for alliance, Antares would later completely overtake an exhausted and undermanned Cetus and assimilate Corvus into Skorpii Corvus in 1912 under Henry Khorin. Cetan EM (Basically USMCs) mutinies would try to reclaim pieces of their homeland, but failed nonetheless.
The Centauran Wars would ultimately commence with the Invasion of Aquila. Although hindered by the Ring of Fire initially, spearhead attacks using Tanks and Aircraft were able to breach the defences, and penetrate deep into Aquilan Territory. One of the most significant events during the entire campaign was the "Scorch", where Antares would set ablaze several areas of the Ascendēns Forest to clear paths for infantry vehicles and combat gurella warfare. Kalvin originally planned this for only 1 week, but the fires eventually grew massive, and 40% of the countryside would be burned to ashes. Kalvin Tau considered this a massive loss in the war. Kalvin also wanted less civilian casualties, but due to Aquila’s Civil Guard (equivalent of Forman Volkssturm), attempting to distinguish civilians and militia was difficult. Therefore, civilians were treated harshly and sometimes massacred mistakenly for militia forces.
By 1914, Aquila's last major city, Talona, would fall to Antarean forces, and Aquilan forces would soon surrender. Vega, worried that they were next in line, began to arm it's borders to defend against Antares. They were protected by the Murus Plateau, a large line of steep walls giving birds eye view of the enemy forces. When Antares first struck, they found themselves stuck, but were able to bypass them by flanking their coast, and in 1915, Vega would collapse. Remaining Vegan divisions would either dessert or flee to Grusa.
Grusa was the next victim of Antares. They were ready against the Antarean forces, and were protected by a vass desert named the Arida Desert. This proved to be a pain in the ass for Antares, as they struggled for 4 years trying to flank or push through the desert, but they eventually succeed. Vega and Grusa would later be repurposed into Skorpii Grusi.
In 1919, Antares would create the Union of Antarean Youth (UAY). This served as an “Antareanization” group for young people across South Centaura. In the occupied regions of Cetus, Aquila, and Vega, children were indoctrinated by the Union and taught about Antarean culture and history in the hopes that they would be raised to become the next generation to live in unity. Areas in the occupied regions of Northern Centaura saw less success, as there were poorer facilities and constant conflicts between AIA soldiers and Militias.
When it came time for the Columban Campaign, things did not go so well. Columba was protected by a massive mountain range named the Columban Range. These mountains were extremely high, and communication was hard to access even with telephones. Antares would spend 18 years trying to penetrate the mountains with minimal success. This did not help the fact that the nations north of Columba, Riaa, Tucana and Centauri formed the Northern Centauran Alliance (NCA) to fight against Antares, and began sending surpluses of equipment and aid. Eventually, Antares would finally make a significant breakthrough from the Annulus Sea with Operation Kataklysm, led by General Cervantes which replaced the old General Archer, who was dismissed by Aran Tau in 1927. In 1933, Antares would capture Columba's capital, Mundare, effectively annexing the nation despite NCA forces still being in the Columban mountains.
In the meanwhile, the nations of Hydra would began to get angry on Antares. To discuss about the ongoing war, the First International Summit was held in Libra. Nations actively at war with Antares were prohibited to join, meaning Antares was the only Centauran Nation in the summit. The Hydran nations would attempt to hinder Antares by cutting trade between them and Antares, but it would do little to effect Antares, and they continued with their invasions.
Antares would take a break from the Columban Campaign to prepare for the NCA Campaign, and so were the NCA forces. In 1934, the Antareans would make their offensive, but were bogged down by the influx of Riaan soldiers. And in 1935, the Riaans would begin to make their offensive, charging Antarean defenses in large numbers, outnumbering and straining them. The NCA forces would eventually make great progress and successfully advanced into Columba. By 1937, the NCA forces reached the Columban Range, threatening to free the trapped NCA forces there. In their time of desperation, Ursa would ask to help Antares. Antares agreed, and formed the "Solstice." In 1938, Ursa would make a surprise invasion into Tucana, prompting NCA forces to divert their attention to aid Tucana. Seeing their opportunity, Antares would finally push the NCA forces back, and by 1940, Riaa would soon collapse, leaving only Centauri left.
Citizens in Centauri began to panic, and plenty would flee Centaura and seek refuge in Hydrus or Orion, some even taking their own lives. By 1941, the last Centaurian liners would deport to Hydra, leaving the rest behind. Centauri would fight to the death for 2 years, defending its homeland against the entirety of the Solstice. By 1944, the last remaining NCA forces would collapse, and Antares would control the whole continent, after killing an estimated 100-135 Million people at its wake. The NCA Campaign was one of the deadliest and most brutal Campaigns in the entire war, and left Riaa in shambles and turmoil even after the Forman War.
Aftermath[]
Columban resistance fighters would continue rebel and harass the Antarean soldiers stationed there, but would collapse in 1946. Antares would then regroup Northern Columba, Tucana, Riaa and Centauri into Skorpii Riaa, one of the Skorpii States. Kaden Tau, heir to Aran, would also fight in the NCA Campaign. His company was nearly wiped out in Riaa, and he was heavily traumatized, ruining his relationship with his father since he didn’t care much about his well being during the war.
Antares under the leadership of Aran would then commit unspeakable crimes to the Northern Centauran continent, and over 20% of Riaa’s population would die for the following years. Vulpa - a nation heavily dependent on Riaan resources would be left to starve without supplies from the mainland, barely surviving.
DEAD AHEAD (1948-1961)[]
After the Centauran Wars, the continent of Hydra was in panic. Tensions between the Solstice and the Dragon Compact (consisting of Orion, Hydrus, Auriga and Musca at the time) were at all time high, and were about to go to war against each other. To mediate this, both sides upheld the Second International Conference (SIC) in Libra, a neutral nation. While the meeting was going on, 4 Antarean and 1 Orionite politicians were shot dead. Antares believed the Orionite shot the 4 Antareans before committing suicide, and blamed the Compact for the deaths.
After the incident, the Solstice began preparations for war against the Compact as ties broke down completely. In 1948, several Antarean fleets began to attack the coastal defences of Orion and Hydrus, sinking a good amount of their fleets vessels, thus starting the Forman Wars. Although the Antarean Armada had great success at the early stages, they eventually began to lose significant dominance over the Libran Ocean. This was coupled by the fact that incumbent president of Orion Ferdinand Powell had lost the elections to Charles Abbott, who seeked better leadership against the Antarean Armada. In the meantime, Antares invaded the aforementioned neutral nation Libra. Although they saw great advances, the Librans were able to hold their ground. The invasion forced Libra to reluctantly side with the Compact, and this would prove to be a blunder for the Solstice.
In 1956, after a lengthy engagement in the seas, the Armada was effectively crippled, and this paved the way for the Orionite Landings at Tucana. The Solstice was slowly crumbling, and this did not help the fact that Ursa was revealed to be the one behind the SIC killings, meaning Antares was furious and declared war on them. The war by this time had also exhausted heir to the throne Kaden Tau, and he switched sides. By 1961, the Centauran continent was finally liberated, and the Imperium would collapse after 50 Million casualties inflicted on both sides.
Post-FW Antares[]
After the war, Orion and the rest of the Compact would reshape post-Forman War Centaura, rebuilding and repairing the countries devastated by years of conflict. Aran Tau and most of his family (aside from Kaden and Andrew, with the latter granted parole at Kaden's request) would be incarcerated or executed for their crimes against Forma, and the throne was eventually succeeded by Kaden. However, after years of fighting led to PTSD and depression, Kaden took his own life, leaving the note quote "Mankind will not change". Without the successor, the Antarean throne was abolished and Antares would be permanently divided into the same 4 states that united it, therefore ending the legacy of the Imperium.

- Antares are heavily based on Japan and Germany during world wars era (military-wise).
- Antares conquered at least 9 nations during the Centauran Wars, 6 of them being merged into 3 "Skorpii" puppet states.
- There used to be a lore character in the Antares Tau bloodline named Maya Tau, who was retconned from the lore of CENTAURA/Dead Ahead due to fans making suggestive content of her.
- The Antarean dialect is the same as English, only the hard C is replaced with a K and is known as Antarean Librae.
- Some people suggest that the Columban Campaign is unrealistic, as waging war in the mountains and endlessly throwing men for 18 years would have strained the Antarean economy, although ClassicMasterNoob (head developer and creator) denies this.
