The Anti-Space Development Terrorists are a group of overarching antagonists of the game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.
Biography[]
The Anti-Space Development Terrorists are a group of enigmatic terrorists mentioned by Kurtis as a part of his backstory and are his motivation for becoming a villain.
Years before the start of the game, the group would bomb the World Space Research Institute in an attempt to stop their research of space and space travel. This explosion would result in the deaths of over three hundred and fifty people including Kurtis' wife and child, it would also result in Kurtis having most of his body blown up and having to be replaced with robotic parts, turning him into a cyborg.
Their motives for committing this crime are unclear and are never explained, whether they wanted to stop the Earth Defence Force and General Carter from colonising other planets like they attempted to do with the Netherworld or are simply against the science that would allow humanity to fly into space are unknown.
Ultimately, the Anti-Space Development Terrorists would be caught by Captain Gordon, the Defender of Earth and they would all be arrested, foiling their schemes and allowing the development of space travel to continue unimpeded.
What the Anti-Space Development Terrorists didn't know is that their actions would lead Kurtis down a dark path for the rest of his life.
