He was portrayed by David Anders.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Anton is the son and oldest child of wealthy real estate developer Aldor Harris. Anton displayed antisocial behavior from a young age, and was prone to violent temper tantrums. The elder Harris saw his son as a disappointment, and openly favored his daughter, Anton's younger sister Dana. Aldor feared that his son would hurt Dana, and so sent him to several boarding schools, many of which Anton got kicked out of for fighting. His behavior worsened even further after the death of his mother, Dr. Nicolette Harris.
As a young man, Anton studied to be a veterinarian in an effort to please his father, but Dana outshone him in Aldon's eyes once again by getting accepted to medical school. Anton began planning to take revenge against his father and sister in a way that would earn him the recognition he craved, as he would lobotomize her and implant a microscopic camera in her eye that broadcast the surgery to the world via the internet. He kidnapped a man in Germany and performed the surgery on him as a "dry run", but the man died before Anton could implant the device. He then followed Dana to Baltimore, Maryland when she was accepted to Johns Hopkins University to do graduate work.
"To Bear Witness"[]
Anton kidnaps Dana and her boyfriend Sam Carter and imprisons them in his makeshift laboratory in an abandoned warehouse. He performs a lobotomy on Sam and implants the camera in his pupil, and then allows him to escape. Sam is found and hospitalized, but is unable to communicate, the lobotomy having damaged the speech center of his brain. The FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) are called in to profile Sam's attacker, and agent Derek Morgan has him blink his eyes, once for yes, twice for no, to communicate. Using an alphabet chart and the blinking system, Morgan finds out that Sam's attacker was working alone, and also kidnapped Dana. Upon learning that there is a camera in Sam's eye, Morgan figures out the assailant is watching and lets him know he is watching him, too. Amused, Anton reveals himself to Morgan, basking in the attention.
Meanwhile, Anton performs a lobotomy on Dana and implants a camera in her pupil, with which he sets up a worldwide live feed to show off the surgery. BAU technical analyst Penelope Garcia is able to track the signal to Anton's location, and also finds records of Anton's relationship to Dana and his past criminal behavior. The BAU storms the warehouse, where Anton is waiting, having planned from the beginning to get caught. When Anton brags about his crimes, agent Aaron Hotchner tricks him into believing that Garcia has cancelled his live feed as he then confronts Anton with the real objective of the assaults, to finally impress his father. Anton willingly surrenders, and Hotchner takes him into custody.
The BAU contacts Aldon and brings him to FBI headquarters to see his son. Anton smiles smugly at his father, but to his dismay, Aldon simply shakes his head at him and walks away. Nevertheless, Aldon does try to get Anton extradited back to Germany, where he would receive a lighter prison sentence, but BAU Section Chief Mateo Cruz pulls strings to make sure Anton is tried in the United States.
