Antonio Di Biase, also known as Toni Dog is one of the major antagonists of the movie Taxi 5.
He was portrayed by Salvatore Esposito.
Biography[]
Tony Dog is a former rally driver member of the Gang des Italiens, a gang of robbers looting jewelry stores, and operating in Ferraris in order to escape quickly. Fearing that the gang might attack a future diamond exhibition at MuCEM, Sylvain is appointed head of “Operation Mafia”. Realizing that the vehicles of the municipal police are not powerful enough, Alain tells him about Daniel and Emilien, having managed to stop four gangs (the Mercedes gang, the Yakuza, the Santa Claus and the Belgians) thanks to a taxi Supercharged based on a Peugeot 407. But they can't help him because Daniel now lives in Miami, Florida, and Emilien has left the police. But Alain thinks that Sylvain and he can still find this legendary white taxi through Daniel's nephew, a certain Eddy Maklouf. While accompanying him outside, Alain is violently run over by a van and finds himself in the hospital, plastered from neck to feet. In his research, Sylvain discovers that Eddy Maklouf is also the one who knocked him down during his routine check. He offers him a deal: if he finds the taxi, he passes the sponge on all his offenses. Eddy obtains in exchange for teaming up with the police, a rewarding role that would allow him to win back his lover's blonde who left him, after a disastrous striptease that led to the start of a fire in his family castle (Eddy having accidentally threw his pants on burning candles, then destroyed a candlestick and a marble statue while trying to put out the fire).
The Peugeot 407 is repatriated from Morocco by boat in a container, because Eddy and his sister Samia had sent it back there because of its very high mileage (over 200,000 kilometers on the odometer). Leaving the port, Sylvain replaces Eddy at the wheel of the taxi (the latter does not have his driver's license for a manual gearbox). At the same time, the Minister of the Interior is visiting Marseille, and the gang of Italians storms a jewelry store. The municipal police fail to stop them (and causing a pile-up in the streets where the Minister of the Interior and Gilbert are at this very moment, in their respective cars), Sylvain finds himself chasing the Ferrari. The taxi lacks power but manages to join the Ferrari thanks to Eddy's Uber colleagues. The Peugeot is finally sown on a tram passage. In order to catch up, Sylvain asks Eddy to use his contacts to infiltrate the Italian environment and restore power to the taxi. Eddy takes her to Rachid's, the manager of a pizzeria serving as a cover for an underground casino and trafficking in arms and drugs. He also takes her to his sister Eddy's, Samia, a mechanic whom he charges to boost the 407. Sylvain quickly experiences an attraction for her but, naive, does not manage to seduce her.
Having the information that the Italians are training on a circuit near Marseille, Sylvain goes there with Eddy to attract their attention and manages, thanks to his driving and the gain in power brought by Samia, to obtain an invitation to a private party. In order to gather information, he infiltrates this evening with the municipal police team, but Eddy has also invited himself to the evening. However, only Sylvain and Eddy are on the spot, the other police officers being distracted in their corner (Sandrine at the buffet and Michel on stage seducing a girl). They discover that the gang is targeting the largest diamond in the world which will be exhibited at MuCEUM and which will be brought in by helicopter, and that the two National Police officers are corrupted by the gang. Eddy having been spotted, the duo are captured but manage to escape, not without the help of the municipal police.
The day of the arrival of the diamond, the gang of Italians uses a drone armed with missiles to hijack the helicopter, in order to bring the diamond on a yacht in the creeks. Sylvain and Eddy are then chased by Toni Dog, driving in a Lamborghini Aventador, as well as by corrupt agents. If the latter are successfully stopped by the municipal police (Sandrine having thrown herself on the hood of their car to neutralize them), the taxi has difficulty in sowing the gang, whether on the highway or on the steep roads creeks. By calling Samia, the latter reveals the location of a button allowing the taxi to use nitro. On seeing the yacht anchored in the cove, Sylvain throws himself from a cliff using the nitro. The 407 being, like the old 406, also equipped with wings, manages to hover to crash into the yacht - while the Lamborghini, stopped at the edge of the precipice, is in a dangerously precarious balance, preventing it from escape. The diamond is recovered, the Italians arrested.
