Mark Antony, also known as Antonius, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Sextus) of the hack-and-slash/stealth video game Shadow of Rome. The right-hand man of Julius Caesar, the leading political figure, who slowly lead Rome to Pax Rommana Antonius is also a good friend of Caesar, and wishes to rule Rome when Caesar passes on. Soon he learned from Iris, and Chairmane that Caesar did not chose him as his successor, and as revenge concocted a Conspiracy of members of all who hate Caesar, and succeeded in murdering him, and takes the throne without the true successor to compete.
He was voiced by Chris Cox.
Biography[]
Background[]
Antonius at the time was the best friend of Julius Caesar, and his right-hand man in Caesar's conquest to lead Rome to Pax Rommana or Peace of Rome. But in behind the scenes he desires power of Rome, and was confident that Caesar selects him as successor of Rome. However, both of Cleopatra's servants Iris, and Chairmane he had learned that Caesar did not select him as his successor, and instead chooses someone else to rule Rome in his stead.
An infuriated Antonius formed a conspiracy against Caesar as revenge, and later had ordered Decius Brutus to murder Julius Caesar, and had framed Vipsanius, the father of Agrippa in the process.
Shadow of Rome[]
Now gaining Rome like he wanted, Antonius had rose in power, and had Cicero explain to the people of Rome what had happened to Caesar at his funeral.
Trivia[]
- Despite being one of the main antagonists, Antonius appears less in Shadow of Rome while Sextus was shown in most of the game.
