NOTE: This article is ONLY for the VILLAINOUS Anunnaki that are seen in Come Undone, NOT their heroic counterparts that appear in the opening of the episode.
The Anunnaki servants are minor antagonists of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
Biography[]
These evil Anunnaki were trapped in the Crystal sarcophagus along with their master, the Evil Entity, after they got corrupted by him and were then forced into imprisonment by their good and pure counterparts in the sarcophagus. When Scooby-Doo and Mystery Incorporated succeeded in locating all of the disk pieces and reforming the Planispheric Disk, they were forced to hand the disc over to Pericles, who used it to unearth the elemental gates beneath Crystal Cove, and both Pericles and the Mystery Incorporated gang subsequently raced through the interdimensional gates until they reached the fourth, fiery dimension holding the Cursed Treasure. As the celestial alignment of Nibiru came, Pericles released the Evil Entity from its sarcophagus.
When the Evil Entity rose to the Crystal Cove grounds, it released these evil Anunnaki from it's sarcophagus, so they could serve as his army and help him capture all the inhabitants of Crystal Cove and feed them to it, until he could gain enough power to be completely freed from his bonds in the Crystal sarcophagus. Discovering that they were mystically protected against the Evil Entity's touch when they stood together, the Mystery Incorporated kids realized that (unlike the other mystery-solving groups forged by the Entity) their friendship was real, like the Hunters of Secrets before them, and in turn realized from this that their friendship was their weapon against the Entity.
With this revelation, the kids worked together to get the Heart of the Jaguar past the evil Anunnaki minions to the Entity, until Scooby succeeded in plunging the Heart into the sarcophagus. With the sarcophagus' destruction by the Heart of the Jaguar, the Evil Entity's link to its prison was severed before it was strong enough to fully break free, that caused a giant portal to open and suck inside almost everything, including most of Crystal Cove, the Entity and the evil Anunnaki, presumably killing them all.
Trivia[]
- Although stated to be Anunnaki, their appearance resembles more Ancient Egyptian gods, such as Ra, Sobek and Anubis.
- Although it is not confirmed, it is stated that once the Evil Entity was going to get freed from it's prison, and be able to move freely, it was also going to consume the evil Annunaki.
- Although never officialy confirmed for any of the characters in the series, by comparing them to the main protagonists and their speculated heights by the fanbase, the Annunaki appear to be from 6,2 feet (1,88 meters) to 6,6 feet (around 2 meters) tall. Nevertheless, their height is continuously errored throughout the episode, as in some shots they appear to be only slightly more muscular and taller than Fred, who is speculated to be around 6 feet tall (1,82 meters).
- They replace the Kriegstaffebots as the Evil Entity's servants, after the Mystery Incoporated gang fights them off and destroys them in the fiery dimension.
- In the 2015 show Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, the villain Professor Salasar used a suit resembling Sobek to scare people off from the museum she was working in and steal a golden statue, so she could sold it and eventually manage to leave the harsh world of Egyptology. As the show came after Mystery Incoporated, it is possible that her Sobek attire was a refrence to the Sobek annunaki, although her disguise is much less scary than the Annunaki.
