Appearance[]
Aoi is a woman of regular height with irises of green colors, blond hair tied in a shoulder-length ponytail at her top left side with a blue stripe, and usually maintains a stern expression.
She is usually seen in her formal female dark uniform that comprises fitting sleeves, a few red parts like on her collar, cleavage, and the inferior down part of her tailcoat. While bearing calmless, Aoi is extremely loyal and silently obeys to Kureto’s orders with no hesitation as her right-hand. Generally, even without commands, she understands the situation and will still quickly act to do whatever to help Kureto in contributing his important position within the army without regard. This is exemplified when she took down two of the bodyguards of Seishirō Hīragi the brother of Kureto who posed a threat to him.
Aoi appears to be knowledgeable when she recognizes at almost first glance the King of Salt also known as the Second Trumpet that had awakened inside Yūichirō Hyakuya after having sent an attack thanks to her knowledge on seraphs. She was also seen lecturing information from documents to Kureto.
Also depicted as emotionless and cold, she shows no cares for Mitsuba despite being siblings, such as when they looked each other in the eye for a short moment before moving on without a word.

She stands nearby to witness Kureto’s lecturing and questions to him the facts about his life at an orphanage in a vampire city and what reason was that Guren Ichinose recruited him after discovering him. He reveals that he is one of the victims that was part of the experiments performed at the Hyakuya Sect, the vastest faction within Japan that had been testing childrens in certain experiments. Kureto then suggests that he join his squad and leave Guren. With Yu telling them to free his comrades, Kureto orders Aoi who uses the microphone to do so to the guards and that they are no longer needed here. She waits outside the room while continuing to lay her eyes on Yu until the door closes with Kureto leaving the last.
Later on, she receives a message delivered from a messenger pigeon, sent from a vampire city that was written by a child who was living there. After reading it, she goes to Kureto to give the letter to him. She then receives the order to have Guren meet up with him before leaving his office. After reading it, she goes to Kureto to give the letter to him. She then receives the order to have Guren meet up with him before leaving his office. Later, she is in a lab where an ongoing experiment is performed on Mirai Kimizuki, the younger sister of Shiho Kimizuki.
Standing by Kureto’s sides on a rooftop, he learns that the next subject for the experiments will not arrive until the next one-thousand seven hundred hour. His younger brother Seishirō Hīragi then joins them and is said to inform him that he is under arrest for not following the path of their father’s order. Immediately understanding the current circumstances, she silently kills Seishirō’s subordinates off screen, leaving the men without protection.
A soldier then comes to inform her that the squads will soon depart in half an hour, to which he then passes on the information to Kureto.
Later on, while alongside Kureto viewing soldiers transporting crates, he asks her about the condition of the current test subject with Aoi answering that it is unstable and is in a lot of pain. She is ordered to notify the scientist to raise the dosage and force it under control if they have it.
As she walks away, she is also told about information on Guren at Nayuta and replies that it is simply “fine”. On an aircraft, Aoi and Kureto watch Mirai Kimizuki locked up and restrained in a large circular room where she views information regarding Mirai in her notebook. When the aircraft lands, Aoi walks out to see her younger sister alongside others of her squad with Kureto following behind. Both of them stand on a platform where Kureto introduces himself to the soldiers.
Shinya walks to him to notify that the vampires are heading where they are and questions how it is a victory for them. As he finishes interacting with him, he instructs Aoi to move a giant crate out of the plane. Confused, Shinya questions what the crate is before trying to attack when he summons his cursed gear. Aoi walks to him, threatens him by placing her hand on her own gear. Soon, the crate opens releasing numerous long metal rods that instantaneously already kill several of the soldiers. She witnesses the soldiers trying to fight back while standing alongside Kureto and some other allied soldiers of their own. As Yu walks a bit to Kureto, he concerns him as a one of the “Black Demon” kids of Guren. Aoi walks beside him and orders the metal rods to attack. Shinoa orders her squad to retreat.
Vampires then join the battle when many of them jump off planes that have arrived. In response, Kureto orders to extinguish and charge at the vampires by raising his sword towards them. A clash between humans and vampires starts. As more living lies dead on the ground, the rods continue to suck the blood out of them, resulting in the crate to explode. An angel flies out of it, revealing Mirai who is under control of the Second Trumpet. Shortly after, the environment began to change to a rocky landscape. Always remaining by Kureto’s side, they watch as they capture the angel. Kureto instructs to let it have the rest. Aoi grabs a few darts out of a box a subordinate is holding and launches it at the giant demon Abaddon that just appeared. This resulted in numerous fleshes to be blasted to the ground that transformed into Horsemen of the Apocalypses that began to slaughter the vampires.
Afterwards, they spot a towering pillar of flames appearing in the distance. Aoi notifies the colonel that they are receiving a response from an unknown seraph and that it comes from the fire pillar. Kureto questions what she meant. Aoi is unsure. Determined to move forward his goal, he orders Aoi to prepare to charge at the fire pillar, and the same for Abaddon as she looks up to him who blasts a destructive beam at the unknown enemy. The fire reveals Yu who has been possessed by the Second Trumpet that is instantly recognized by Aoi after seeing him sending his attack at the Horsemen of the Apocalypse and informs the colonel that it is the King of Salt. Kureto replies that he does not care and orders to eliminate him. The Second Trumpet struggles to fend off the attack but eventually finishes by defeating Abaddon when he slashes across his skin and landing the final attack by unleashing a gigantic salt spear at the demon, ending him, as well as freeing Mirai from the possession. The Imperial Demon Army attempts to capture Yu as he collapse, but are blocked by a giant wall that Narumi created using his cursed gear.

Shinya asks her to free him as she sees him sitting on the floor with Aoi refusing. Shinya comments that he has already caused the death of hundreds of her comrades in the human experiments and that the Hiragi family claims for the greater blood. Aoi replies that he is also a Hiragi with Shinya replying that he is, but not related by blood. She tries to jumps to her purpose here as she reports him a message from Kureto saying that he will be returning to Shinjuku tommorow and to come to his senses as he cease his sending his temper tandrum.
