Aphrodite is a major antagonist in the novel The Age of Zeus. Prior to her mind being converted into her thinking she is the Greek Olympian Aphrodite, she was a brothel owner that got arrested and fired, which led her to meet Xander Landesman, who offered her unlimited power at the cost of her current life.

Past[]
Aphrodite (prior to being "Aphrodite"), was a brothel owner who was eventually arrested due to the shaky laws of her company. She then met Xander Landesman. Xander told her that he could make her a goddess, literally, one that could have total control, if she wanted it. Due to having her career ruined, she agreed to the deal, even though she knew she wouldn't remember a thing about her past life.
Xander than transformed her into Aphrodite, where she became one of his Olympians.
The Age of Zeus[]
Upon Xander (now under the alias and appearance of Zeus), revealing himself and the Olympians to the world, Aphrodite assisted in the genocide of Hong Kong, blowing it all up. For ten years, she and the other Olympians would treat humanity as toys, while assuring them at the same time that they only had humanity's best interests at heart.
Following the death of Hercules and Hermes I, killed by the TITANs, Aphrodite sat down with Dionysus and suggested that the two of them go to a few of the TITANs and offer a deal to them. For their own self-interest, they both met with Sam, Rick, and another TITAN, in hopes of convincing them to surrender in exchange for not being killed. Considering the TITANs had two victories under their belt, they refused their offer, and instead put forward the idea of the Olympians stopping killing humans, in exchange for the TITANs no longer hunting them.
Aphrodite and Dionysus eventually decided that they thought they were by far stronger than the TITANs, so Aphrodite used her mind control on the third TITAN to try and have her kill Sam and Rick. However, with heavy hearts, Sam defeated their mind controlled ally, and the mind controlled TITAN accidentally killed themselves in the process.
Swearing revenge, Sam added Aphrodite to the top of her kill list, telling the other TITANs that Aphrodite was hers and hers alone to kill.

During the final clash of the TITANs against the Olympians, Aphrodite used her mind control to get Sam and Rick to start having sex with each other on the battlefield, hoping to give her husband Hephaestus a chance to kill them both. In her effort to kill the two TITANs however, she didn't notice Sparks, another one of the TITANs, dashing behind her, and blowing her brains out with a magnum shot. Aphrodite's eyeball shot out of her head, and Aphrodite was shown feeling a grave amount of shock before collapsing to the ground, dead as a doornail.
