Apollo is a major antagonist of the anime, manga and webcomic series One Punch-Man. He is an artificial esper and agent of the psychic research organization, Tsukuyomi.
Appearance[]
During his introduction, Apollo initially wore a white smiling mask with 4 stars in the place of eyes and a dark fedora hat. The rest of his body wears a standard detective uniform with a white tie underneath and a black long sleeved shirt, a pair of white gloves, black pants and shoes and a belt. Under his mask, he appears to be a young man with white long hair arriving at his neck and has the same 4 stars on his forehead like his mask.
Personality[]
Apollo is a highly sociopathic and cold-hearted individual with little to no care about others as well as not caring what he has to harm or sacrifice in order to reach his objectives, such as his cruel treatments that he has done to Tatsumaki as a young child. Despite possessing arrogance to demonstrate his abilities, he does not underestimate his opponents and will instead plan for a method to retreat if he feels that he stands no chance against them. Another example for his cruel nature would be his thoughts of wanting to have all natural espers to be wiped out since he is an artificial esper unlike them. He has demonstrated some high level of intelligences and is very cunning and tactical esper. Being able to quick think of methods to escape or conceal his intentions. Such as his decision of releasing the Demon-level mysterious beings at a basement where everyone was locked by him after he took down the cameras in order to wipe out suspicions on him.
Biography[]
Apollo is accompanied by a few employees of the Hero Association after arriving at their headquarter. Psykos soon then attacks Apollo after gaining consciousness with her telekinesis while he was discussing about the Tsukuyomi organization. In response he tries block her attack and plans to kidnap Psykos and leave the place. Fubuki then tells them that Tatsumaki will arrive soon to to kill Psykos. At her arrival, Tatsumaki attempt to kill her by dropping a debris on her but is however protected by Apollo and Fubuki. Apollo is then tossed aside by being sent to the wall giving him severe injuries and revealing his face. Unexpected, Apollo manages to stand up sooner then she excepted and makes the quick decision of destroying the cameras around in order to cover what was going on. Tatsumaki and her sister somehow planned ahead as they knew that Tsukuyomi organization was after Psykos. With the battle continuing, the floor then cracks, causing Saitama to fall underground and land among numerous mysterious beings underground. Upon realizing that he stood no chances against the sisters, he makes Fubuki unconscious by quickly activating the pill that was unintentionally swallowed by her which also contained harmful poison inside. He then mocks Tatsumaki for not seeing his plan coming, prevents her from resisting by restraining her hand, then crushes her into a boulder as well as breaking her spine. He quickly makes another move by freeing the Demon-level monsters that were locked in the lower floor to cover his escape by making them believing that Tatsumaki was the on responsable of their releases and that the monsters devoured them. It is then revealed that among the Blizzard Group’s member was a spy being Apollo’s partner by joining Apollo and taking their leave with Psykos while they’re being furiously attacked by the rest of the group, only for Apollo to easily block their attacks.
As the monster were about to make their entrance, unexpectedly, Saitama then appears out of the monsters who appears to be all killed by him. Tatsumaki is then able to take Apollo by taking out the tiny poison needle and sending it flying to Apollo who was quick enough to react and tried to block them with his hand but however pierce thought it as well as his eyes. His partner was also seen took down. Tatsumaki tells him that he is impressed that he wasn’t killed immediately and says that she will tell everything he knows about his organization out of him. Not so long after, they manages to secretly escape by make tunnel underground and coming out of the basement then leaves the place by car. While leaving, Apollo swore to have revenges on Tatsumaki out of anger as he heals his injuries using a type of syringe.
Abilities[]
Despite only being an ordinary human that was enhanced with psychic powers, he was easily able to defeat Fubuki, being able to deal with Psykos who was however weakened by a drug being given by the Hero Association, even being able to hold his own against the strongest S-Class hero Tatsumaki. However she was later on shown to have powers that goes far beyond his.
