The Aprile crew are the secondary antagonists of the HBO crime series The Sopranos.
They are an Italian American Mafia gang operating under the DiMeo crime family (also known as the Soprano crime family) in New Jersey.
Despite being the highest earning crew for the family, many of the gang members are known for being unhinged, temperamental, chaotic, reckless, impulsive, stupid and excessively violent, even by mobster standards. This has resulted in them being the cause of many a headache to the boss, Tony Soprano, and he butts heads with many members of the crew over the series, most notably Captains Richie Aprile and Ralph Cifaretto. Many members are killed or die prematurely over the series, resulting in the gang being viewed as cursed.
After several years of chaos within the gang, Tony decided to merge the Aprile crew with the Gervasi crew and placing them under Paulie Gualtieri, though he warned Paulie that the Apriles were a "Chinese dumpster fire."
