The Aqua Force is the main antagonistic faction of the Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit season. It is a navy force that ruled over the seas of Planet Cray and attempted to takeover the entire planet under its rule before its disappearance.

Aqua Force is one of the clans that inhabit Planet Cray, located in the Magallanica Nation which is comprised mostly of oceans and some archipelagos. Aqua Force was said to be the greatest military in all of Planet Cray, and had a close connection with the Soryu family on Planet Earth which made the Soryu a powerful lineage for generations. When Gyze attempted to destroy Cray and Harmonics Messiah, Aqua Force, as Cray's defenders, tasked themselves with defeating Gyze, alongise the other clans. But their leader Valeos was seduced by Gyze's incredible power and turned against Messiah, joining the Apostles and siding with Gyze in the war until Gyze was defeated. As punishment for Aqua Force's treachery, the entire clan was sealed away, this also caused the Soryu family to lose their power. Aqua Force disappeared for centuries until it was forgotten as a mere myth and the Soryu family also fell from grace being reduced to only a few members were left stranded on a distant island with no means of escape. Valeos most likely deserted Aqua Force, escaping his punishment, and hid away to work on Gyze's resurrection.
Leon Soryu, one of the very few Soryu left, was contacted by the evil entity Void and offered a bargain; Void would restore Aqua Force to its former glory in exchange of Leon sabotaging Planet Cray's resistance so that Void could consume the planet. Desperate to save his lineage, Leon accepted the deal and kidnapped the leaders of Cray's resistance Blaster Blade, Blaster Dark, and Dragonic Overlord. Aqua Force resurfaced soon after, with Blue Storm Dragon, Maelstrom as their new leader. Maelstrom planned to take over the rest of Planet Cray and unite it under its rule so that Aqua Force could be the one to stop Void, until they learned that the leftovers of the lost clans joined to create the Gold Paladin and Narukami clans respectively with the intention of rescuing their lost leaders. Aqua Force saw the return of the missing leaders as a potential threat to their plan to take over Cray so they went to war against the new clans and instructed Leon to take down Takuto Tatsunagi, who was manipulating humans on Earth to lead the resistance against Void through the VF Asia Circuit tournament.
Leon joined the Asia Circuit and made it to the final rounds of the event, when Takuto revealed to the winning teams what the true purpose of the tournament was, Leon ambushed Takuto and attempted to defeat the other winning teams, which due to his influence over Cray via PSY-Qualia would result in Aqua Force taking full control of the planet. After Narukami's clan representative, Toshiki Kai, was defeated, Aichi Sendou was the last fighter remaining to challenge Leon. During their fight Leon realized that Void was only using Aqua Force as a pawn to destroy Cray's resistance, and that even if Aqua Force succeeded in their plans they would also be destroyed by Void as well. Aichi ultimately defeated Leon using the Gold Paladin clan which translated to the Gold Paladins defeating Aqua Force in Cray.
In planet Cray, Maelstrom was leading the war efforts as a frontline commander. He was then confronted directly by Narukami's commander, Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion, who saw through Void's manipulation of Aqua Force, and wished to stop Maelstrom's insane conquest. Vermillion, having now drank the ancient blood of his ancestors, he was filled with immense power, and had achieved his new form, THE BLOOD. Maelstrom, being a dragon himself, was able to concentrate his power, and after sacrificing a huge portion of his own lifespan, transformed as well, into a form known as Glory Maelstrom. The two went to battle, but in the end Maelstrom was victorious, and Vermillion was slain in combat, his corpse lost forever to the depths of the seas.
Having taken down one of the resistance's leading commanders, Maelstrom then used his new powers against Blonde Ezel of the Gold Paladins, but in the end he was defeated and killed in battle. Being a dragon, he didn't fully die, though because of the strain caused on his body by forcing his new form to be achieved, Maelstrom entered an endless slumber, resting forever in a mausoleum deep in the ocean.
Leon and Aqua Force, having realized the error of their ways, assisted Gold Paladins in the rescue of the Blasters and Overlord and later joined the battle against Void. Void's defeat also released Aqua Force from its control allowing the clan to reintegrate itself with Cray's society after their centuries long absence. From that point onwards Aqua Force would continue to be an instrumental ally in protecting Cray from Void's future attacks, being a major participant in the war against the Link Joker invaders.
G Series[]
Eventually Valeos would return with a new incarnation of the Apostles. This time siding with Gastille a demon lord from the Dark Irregulars clan, serving as his right hand man. Though Valeos wasn't considered an officer in Aqua Force anymore, he was still recognized as the legendary marshall that lead them to glory in the former days, causing his to receive a significant following, which he would use to create his own militia to assist in reviving his master, the ancient Dragon God of Destruction, Gyze.
Chakrabarthi Divine Era[]
Though Gyze was defeated a second time, his death also caused Harmonics Messiah to fall into an eternal slumber leaving. This led to a 3,000 year long period without any deities to guide and protect Cray, during this time Cray's civilization fell into deep turmoil with all the clans and nations dissolving including Aqua Force. At one point during the Deity-less era a great sage named Stoicheia was able to unite the descendants of the former Zoo nation and Magallanica nations, after Stoicheia's death the remainders of Zoo and Magallanica agreed to merge into the new Stoicheia nation, named after the sage that united them.
Aqua Forces' long descendants are now part of the Stoicheia nation, where the creatures of the land and the creatures of the sea coexist together sharing their knowledge and resources.
