Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman, is a supporting antagonist DC vs Vampires and major antagonist of the sequel DC vs Vampire World War V.
Biography[]
Aquaman becomes another victim, turning into a vampire himself and quickly rising to a top command role among the vampiric forces. After his transformation, he returns to Atlantis, where he begins converting Atlantean soldiers into vampires, putting his entire kingdom at risk.Presumably, many civilians also fall victim, but his wife, Mera, manages to escape. To survive and hide, she takes on the identity of Black Manta, vowing to protect her home and fight against the new vampiric regime.
Supergirl, Steel, Black Manta, and Zatanna are on their way to Australia when they encounter Aquaman, who unleashes a massive tidal wave using his hydrokinesis. While the wave washes over them, Manta stands firm, saving his allies and calling Aquaman a coward. Aquaman retaliates, addressing "Black Manta" directly, insisting he knows the real Manta died a coward. When Manta removes his helmet, it’s revealed to be Mera. Aquaman tries to reach out to her, but Mera insists he is not the husband she once knew.
Their fight escalates underwater, and Aquaman emerges from the ocean, jumping onto a boat where he greets Supergirl, inviting her to join them as her cousin did. Jayna attempts to attack him from behind, but Aquaman uses hydrokinesis to seemingly destroy her. Steel then uses his hammer against Aquaman, but it proves ineffective, merely a distraction while Mera returns to finish the fight.
DC vs Vampire World War V[]
After the war, Aquaman is banished from Atlantis. Mera, having restored her kingdom, severed ties with him and takes on the role of the Queen of vampires’ servant, marking a significant shift in their history.
Grodd and Aquaman discuss who might claim the next throne, with Aquaman expressing his frustration over playing nice with humans and wanting to incite war again. Grodd warns him not to disrespect the queen. Aquaman questions Grodd's fear of humans, suggesting he’s not overly concerned with them. At that moment, a mysterious woman approaches, not to fight but to discuss a child. Ghost-Maker reports to Aquaman that Scott Free and the baby were present but have since vanished. Aquaman instructs him to continue searching for them or anyone who may have seen the last person to encounter them.
