Arabia Fats is a minor antagonist from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. He wields the Stand known as Sun.
In Japanese, he was voiced by Wataru Takagi in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future and Sakamaki Manabu in the anime. He goes uncredited in the latter's English dub.
Personality[]
While not much is known about Arabia’s personality, he appears to be calculated and patient, allowing himself to wait hours for the Jotaro and his group to be cooked.
Biography[]
Arabia Fats was a mercenary hired by DIO to hunt down and kill the Stardust Crusaders. Arabia started tracking them in the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and attacked while they were crossing the desert to the village of Yarpline. The group felt as if they could sense some sort of presence, but were unable to see or hear anything
The group only noticed that they were under attack when Joseph Joestar checked his watch and saw that it was 8:10 PM and yet the sun was still high in the sky and only rising higher. As they realized that the sun itself was a Stand, the temperature started rising higher and higher to the point that the desert grass started to shrivel and the group's camels passed out from heat stroke. The group hid behind a rock and Kakyoin sent Heirophant Green to try and judge the distance between them and the sun. However, the second Heirophant got close, the sun released a barrage of flaming bolts, wounding Heirophant. Jotaro's Star Platinum dug a hole in the ground and the group hid inside.
After an indeterminate amount of time, Kakyoin began laughing, followed by Jotaro and Polnareff. Joseph thought he's gone mad from heat exposure, but Kakyoin managed to regain his composure and explain: they had spotted a rock that looked exactly the same as another, with the shadow from it stretching toward the sun. Star Platinum threw a rock, which seemingly punched a hole in mid-air.
It was revealed the stand user was hiding inside an air-conditioned vehicle with a mirror on the front to reflect the desert rendering him virtually invisible. Inside is a small, fat, bald man. The Stardust Crusaders take the man's water and supplies and head off on their way, with Joseph commenting on how unsatisfying it was to have already defeated the enemy without even discovering his name first.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Sun
Arabia Fats controls the Stand known as Sun. The Sun appears as an artificial sun in the sky. Its mere presence causes the ambient temperature to rise enough to make people and animals die from heat stroke within moments. The Sun can also fire bolts of heat and light with pinpoint accuracy. If The Sun is attacked, it automatically retaliates with a barrage of bolts.
Though The Sun might seem to have cataclysmic power, it is rather weak as a combat Stand. Its fiery bolts can destroy a canteen and a pair of binoculars, but were stopped by Heirophant Green's Emerald Splash. The Stand also has little defensive ability, since it's unable to move from its place in the sky.
