Arborick is a minor antagonist of the 2007 action videogame The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. He was an enigmatic wooden giant disguised as a mystical tree within the Anicent Grove, attacking anyone who comes near. Upon his defeat, it was then revealed he was intended to be a potential contestant for the Skavenger's gladiatorial tournament. Yet, due to his demise, they decide to use the purple dragon instead.
Biography[]
Spyro is tasked with seeking out The Chronicler after receiving a vision from him in his dreams of a mysterious tree, located deep within the Ancient Grove. Despite occasionally running into multiple Skavengers, Spyro was successful in subduing them. He then reaches the tree and calls out to it, only for Arborick to emerge and attack him. The young dragon is successful in vanquishing it, questioning if defeating it was the right thing to do. He is immediately encountered by Skabb, the captain of the Skavenger pirates, with the ringleader, Scratch, informing him of their intended interest in using Arborick as their attraction for their Fellmuth Arena. With their potential champion now destroyed, the pirates decide to use Spyro as his replacement.
Appearance[]
Arborick appears to be a golem sentinel composed of logs held together by vines. His alternate form is that of a lone tree resting within the poisonous waters of the swamp.
Trivia[]
- Arborick is replaced by a serpent warrior named Naga in the GBA version.
