Biography[]
Past[]
The last surviving member of his civilization and self-proclaimed avatar of Gordom itself, Gajah was sealed in suspended animation within Gordom's island, but was inadvertently unsealed in the present day by the actions of Masumi and Natsuki.
Boukenger[]
Gajah is awakened in 2006 when the Boukengers infiltrate his temple whilst searching for Precious. Upon his reawakening, Gajah sets out to restore his lost civilization by gathering the Precious and activates Giant God Gordom to battle the Boukengers, but the Boukengers defeat it and are able to extract the Heart of Gordom from it. Gajah is then abducted by the Jaryuu Clan, who seek information from him on the Brain of Gordom's location, and proposes to their leader Ryuuwon that they form an alliance to obtain it. Though Gajah's Karths and Ryuuwon's Jaryuu Soldiers hold off the Boukengers, Gajah leads Ryuuwon to the site of the artefact but tricks Ryuuwon into falling into one of the traps around the artefact, but Ryuuwon is able to break free and attack Gajah for betraying him. Satoru then swoops in and fights off Ryuuwon which allows Gajah to escape.
After Dark Shadow surfaces as one of the Negative Syndicates hunting the Precious, Gajah enters Dark Shadow's dojo and proposes an alliance to Gekkou of Illusions, but Gekkou declins after being unimpressed by the Karths he summons. However, Gekkou later takes Gajah up on his offer and borrows some Karths when Dark Shadow needs extra grunts for an operation.
Through a businessman he hypnotizes to be his proxy, Gajah hires Dark Shadow to steal the Nami Uemono dolls which contain a map to an island where the notes of Renaissance inventor Leon Giordana are hidden away. Dark Shadow is able to steal one of the dolls but the other doll is retrieved by the Boukengers. Having only the map to the island and not the map of the island itself, Gajah visits Ryuuwon and proposes an alliance between Gordom and the Jaryuu Clan to recover the notes. Together, Gordom and the Jaryuu are able to defeat the Boukengers and steal DaiBouken. They bring DaiBouken to the island where the notes are hidden, planning on using it to unearth the whole island until they find the notes. Satoru, who has stowed away on DaiBouken as it was being stolen, is able to use the map from the other doll to locate the notes first, but Gajah swoops in and quickly memorizes the notes before they are retrieved by the Boukengers.
Following this, Gajah lays low and does not fight the Boukengers for a while, instead working to utilize the blueprints he memorized from Giordana's notes in conjunction with his civilization's technology to create a new device; the multi-purpose Gordom Engine. After he finishes devising the Gordom Engine, Gajah creates two of them and uses them to revive two defeated members of the Ashu Tribe, Furious Demon God Gai and Grand Beast Rei, as the Questers, only for them to quickly betray him and steal his newest Giant God, Gagadom, to fight the Boukengers on their own. Soon after, Ryuuwon confronts Gajah again and accuses him of monopolizing the secrets he learned from Leon Giordana's notes which leads Gajah to offer him the location of a Precious and some rocks for summoning Karths.
Apart from an attempt to study the effects of Cinderella's slipper, Gajah does not make a move until he intervens in the battle between the Boukengers and the Jaryuu Clan over the Egg of Lemuria to take it for himself after Ryuuwon is defeated. Bringing it back to his lair, Gajah places a Gordom Engine inside of it to cause it to give birth to a new life-form; a variant of the Lemurian Mythical Beast modified with Gordom's technology which Gajah dubs "Gordorum." Gajah uses Gordorum in a plan of his to destroy Zubaan, but Gordorum winds up destroyed by the Boukengers and Zubaan.
From there, Gajah lies low again, not appearing until he is approached by the Questers who ask Gajah to retrieve the Calcucedus Staff, a Precious which they say can be used to defeat the Boukengers. Gajah is able to obtain the Precious and brings it to them, only to find that the Questers have also approached Ryuuwon and Dark Shadow and asked them to obtain artifacts for them as well. The Questers then combine the three Precious each Negative Syndicate obtained inside the Mercurious Vessel to create Ultimate Artificial Lifeform Homunculus, which they combine with thier jet to form a powerful Quester Robo before laying waste to the Boukengers in it. Gajah and his fellow Negatives are at first impressed but, after the Questers betray them and announce that they will be the ones to topple humanity, Gajah and the other Negatives stop rooting for them and the Questers are eventually defeated and killed by the Boukengers.
Gajah is later approached by Time Demon God Chronos who offers him a way to defeat the Boukengers in exchange for three Gordom Engines. Gajah supplies Chronos with the Gordom Engines which Chronos uses in conjunction with his hourglasses to revive Sorcery Priest Meemy, Furabiijo and TsueTsue. Once all of the "Three Sorcerers" have been assembled, Chronos absorbs them all to create the Staff of the Three Philosophers and uses it to assume a giant super mode, intent on taking over the world with his newfound power. After Chronos is defeated by the Boukengers with the powers of the Legendary Sentai, Gajah curses the Boukengers before fleeing the scene.
Following this, Gajah attempts to steal a golem from Santa Claus and use it to attack the city but the Boukengers destroy the golem. Gajah then lays low again before making a move to obtain Pandora's Box, having infused three Gordom Engines into himself to increase his power. With his new might, Gajah is able to defeat Ryuuwon in a battle for the box and open it, consuming its contents and using them to create a right-hand for himself, named "Desperado" after the last thing to exit Pandora's Box, "despair". Gajah and Desperado then head towards the Precious Bank intent on fusing with the artifacts inside and leading SGS to destroy the bank to prevent Gajah from getting its artifacts. However, Gajah is still able to obtain the Heart of Gordom and fuse with it to enter a cocoon-like state on Gordom's island whilst he sends Desperado to obtain the Brain of Gordom which has been kept in a separate location from the Bank.
Although Desperado is destroyed, Gajah soon emerges from his cocoon in a superpowered state he dubs "Gajadom", intent on obtaining the Brain of Gordom to recreate Gordom and merge with it. However, before Gajadom can leave the island, he is confronted by the Boukengers who hit Gajadom with a flurry of attacks from their weapons all in a row, beating Gajadom down only for him to enlarge himself. The Boukengers then summon their GoGo Vehicles and use them to destroy his Gordom Engines which defeats Gajadom and causes the Gordom Civilization's island to collapse into the ocean. As the Boukengers escape, a weakened Gajah travels back into his tomb and enters suspended animation once again to await the day when he will be reawakened and can attempt to recreate the Gordom Civilization once again.
Personality[]
Just like many other villains, Gajah considers himself above humanity and that they should either be subservient or destroyed. It is also because of this arrogance that he believes himself to be superior than those he allies with. This hubris has gotten the best of him when he restored the Ashu beasts and transformed them into the Questers, only for them to betray him. His overall opinion is that those who 'seek adventures' in spite of the dangers to themselves or others are fools and that everyone should be submissive to those ideas. It is because of this trait that he continues to view humanity as nothing more than a nuisance and advance his desires to gain control of the world.
Despite how much of a threat he was in the final episodes, during a large part of the show, he has a side of comedic relief, showing himself as clumsy and somewhat childish. Even when he was defeated and humbled by the Boukengers at the end, he manages to escape and place himself in suspended animation, saying that someday he'll be revived again to conquer the Earth.
