Archduke Gorgon is an antagonist of the anime Shin Mazinger Z: The Impact. He is a green humanoid with a tiger connected to his lower body, and unlike his original counterpart, this version of Gorgon didn't team-up with Dr. Hell and openly show hostility towards him and his army.
Biography[]
Archduke Gorgon is an ally with the Mycenae priests Triston and Isolde, as they were watching the force of humans that fight against them getting easily defeated by the Talos Giant. They then discussed about their displeasure towards Zeus' preference at peaceful methods, and even considered to rebel against Zeus, only for him to notice it, to which the trio quickly apologized. However, soon Koji and his allies show up, and Baron Ashura, who broke down in tears after seeing their former identity, Triston and Isolde, was found by Gorgon, believing they were Zeus' agents, Gorgon sent his army to capture them and ordered Garadoubla to stop them from escaping, while Gorgon caught Ashura.
Soon, Gorgon made a plan with Hades, where Gorgon would pretend to sacrifice Tristan to Zeus as an apology, while in reality, it was Ashura. Gorgon then asked Zeus to remove his armor. Zeus did, and Gorgon gave the signal to Hades, who instantly sliced one of Zeus' arm off. Then, Gorgon started to chase down Koji and his allies. Gorgon would then be confronted by Django and Sensi, to which all would survive
Gorgon would later sunk along with the Bardos Island, but he would suddenly show up when Dr. Hell found the Kedora. Gorgon attacked Count Brocken and destroyed his body, but luckily, Brocken's head was saved by Pygman. Gorgon then took over the control of Kedora and Talos Giant while attacking Dr. Hell. Soon, Brocken defeated Gorgon with his maple bodies, with Gorgon swearing he will return as the archduke disintegrated.
Despite this, Gorgon show up again to remind Baron Ashura about their original duty of an Mycenaen priest. He would be present when Ashura committed suicide to summon the Mycenae Empire back to Earth, and Gorgon was last seen when he was charging towards Mazinger Z while riding a giant Kedora just before they were crushed by Zeuss blade, seemingly killing Gorgon. However, since Gorgon has survived being torn in half and disintegrating before, it is unknown if this truly killed Gorgon or not.
