Ari Curd is a minor antagonist from We Bare Bears who first appeared in "Googs" as the main antagonist.
She is the founder of Googs who puts the Bears in a virtual reality simulation in order to test out the new VR tech, ultimately being oblivious about their horrible experience in the simulation and earning their ire for being casual about it.
She was voiced by Jane Leeves.
Appearance[]
Ari has a short height and has a slightly larger figure than most characters. She has short brown hair with small tufts of it sticking out at the sides, a large bunch of it in the middle, and the typical black eyes. She wears a thick blue jacket with drawstrings near the hood, 2 pockets on both sides of her, and a Shmorby image on the right of her jacket. She also wears a white T-shirt beneath it, black jeans, and see-through glasses with black rims on the top of them.
Biography[]
She designs virtual reality goggles and throws a contest with the offer being a tour around the facility. The Bears win, and in "Googs" they arrive at the Googs headquarters for a tour. In what was later revealed to be a virtual reality situation which she tricked them into be the test subjects of, Ari Curd shows Panda her latest project, the Grocket or G rocket. She explains that she is hoping to create a utopia on the moon called G Land and chose Panda to be the first to go there. Reluctant, Panda insists that he has a life on Earth with his brothers and declines her offer. However, not wanting to take no for an answer and playing on Panda's frustration with his brothers, Ari forces him onto the pilot's seat and launches the rocket before exiting. Aboard, Panda finds his brothers. Ultimately, Panda ends up sacrificing himself by remaining aboard the rocket as it crashes into the sun, while he ejects his brothers in an escape pod.
As soon as Panda realizes that they're still in the VR Zone, he sees that Grizzly and Ice Bear are still crying over his presumed demise and quickly brings them back into reality, much to their surprise and relief that he's still alive. A woman enters the room happily greeting the Bears, revealing herself to be the real Ari Curd, explaining that the one in the simulation was her online avatar. She then gives thanks to the Bears for beta-testing the Googs' VR tech and asks if they had fun. However, the Bears are furious at her for putting them in such a horrifying experience without their knowledge and call her out on this, which she casually brushes off as it's for scientific research, innocently failing to notice their traumatized feelings and offers them the real tour.
