Arick "Burnie" Burnz is the secondary antagonist of the episode MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (Ft Fizzarolli). in Season 2 of the adult animated black comedy-web series Helluva Boss. He is an obsessed "fan"-turned-hater of Fizzarolli after he thought that Fizzarolli "rejected" him.
He was voiced by Don Darryl Rivera, who also portrayed Iago in the Broadway version of Disney's Aladdin.
Biography[]
In the past, Fizzarolli and Blitzo were both teenagers that were walking on the sidewalk of the Greed Ring after leaving from the Mammon Theatre. Arick appears and intercepts the two, and says about being Fizzarolli's crazed #1 Fan. However, Arick's behavior ends up creeping Fizarolli out, which receives the obsessed fan a scowl from Blitzo. Burnie then asks Fizzarolli if he could have a duo performance with him, only to be interrupted by Blitzo. This just gets him a bit annoyed at Blitzo before continuing with his crazy sexual obsession with Fizzarolli until the latter had to leave with Blitzo. This causes Arick to start hating Fizzarolli after he felt rejected.
In the Present Era, he was then seen at the Mammon Theatre. He barges through a crowd to Fizzarolli, still holding an immense grudge towards Fizzarolli that he had many years ago. He goes on his way to insult Fizzarolli and his performance at Cash's family circus, even going as far as to reveal to have been talking trash about Fizzarolli on his review blog on a hate site dedicated to Fizzarolli. He continues to psychologically abuse Fizzarolli before being interrupted by Blitzo and got hit in the face by his gun and says that Fizzarolli isn't done with him before he runs away.
After Fizzarolli and Asmodeus finished singing the song "Crooked" together, the duo were going in for a loving kiss, only for Arick to have kick the door open to the dressing room and attempts to kill Fizzarolli with a knife, only to be stopped when Blitzo shot Arick in the head, causing Fizz's obsessive hater's head to explode, putting an end to Arick's harassment once and for all.
Personality[]
In the past, when Fizzarolli and Blitzo were teenagers, Arick was shown to be infatuated with Fizzarolli in a very unhealthy entitled and disturbing manner, even going as far as to sniff around their dressing rooms to look for Fizzarolli, despite the latter being a teenager at the time and Artick being an adult, makeing Arick an ephebophile, much to Blitzo's disgust when Arick admits of wanting to be in a romantic relationship with Fizarolli.
He would then try to forcefully push his ideas of the two of them performing together onto Fizz, not caring if his behavior disturbed and scared Fizzarolli.
However, after Fizzarolli decided to leave out of being very uncomfortable around him, Arick feels rejected and collapses to the ground in anguish of being "rejected" by Fizzarolli. His love for Fizzarolli immediately switched into hatred as Fizzarolli and Blitzo left him, saying that Fizzarolli's act was "trash."
In the present era, Arick, still obsessed with Fizzarolli, ran a dedicated hate site as a way to spite the imp who he used to be a fan of, showing that he still didn't get over the fact that Fizzarolli didn't want to work with him and refused to change his toxic behavior, which would go to the point that Arick attempts to murder him.
He also becomes psychologically abusive and spiteful to Fizzarolli as well as being very petty. As shown in Arick's fantasy, he only wanted to use Fizzarolli for his own fame and glory, showing that never genuinely cared for Fizzarolli in the first place and views him as a pet.

- In the past, Arick was shown to be skinny. However, he was later shown to become more physically muscular in the present era.
- Arick is likely a representation of the negative and disturbing aspects of obsessive fans, such as being "in love" with a certain celebrity, not respecting said person's privacy and personal space, going from loving to hating someone because they felt "disrespected" or "rejected", and passionately hating a person they stopped liking.
- His design was based on the animator John Kricflausi, the creator of The Ren & Stimpy Show.
- According to Vivziepop, Arick is based on Dib Membrane from Invader Zim.
- His nickname may be a reference to Burnie Burns, who was a founder and former chief executive officer of Rooster Teeth productions.
- His voice actor has portrayed Iago in the same musical where the voice of Vortex and Asmodeus, James Monroe Iglehart, has portrayed Genie.
