Arijigoku Monster is an antlion-themed monster of the Satan Empire and an antagonist in episode 18 of The Kagestar.
He is voiced by the late Osamu Ichikawa, who also voiced Experimental Wolf Man and several other monsters in the Kamen Rider franchise.
Biography[]
Arijigoku Monster was sent by Doctor Satan to kidnap construction workers in order to use them as laborers for a plan to tunnel under Tokyo, creating a sinkhole that would envelop and devour the city. Kageo and Suzuko would eventually go to investigate, discovering Arijigoku Monster and his Satan Combatants. The two became Kagestar and Bellestar to fight them, but after a short battle Arijigoku Monster collapsed a sinkhole around them and burrowed with his remaining Satan Combatants to escape the scene. Upon his return to the Satan Empire's HQ, Doctor Satan scolded him for leaving Kagestar and Bellestar alive with knowledge of their plan.
Kageo and Suzuko meanwhile were able to find the underground tunnels Arijigoku had forced his captured workers to mine. Kagestar disguised himself as a Satan Combatant and infiltrated Arijigoku's base of operations to confront him. After reaching the control room, Kagestar lifted his disguise and confronted Arijigoku, soon being joined by Bellestar. Their fight eventually spilled outside, where Arijigoku and his men tried to escape on a jeep, but Kagestar used his shadow powers to create a giant shadow hand and crush the jeep. Kagestar and Bellestar then fought Arijigoku Monster and tried to kill him by dismembering his body parts, but Arijigoku reassembled each time. After several failed attempts, Arijigoku attacked them by spraying dust at them, but Kagestar was able spin around and turn the dust into a tornado that tossed Arijigoku off a cliff. After hitting the ground, Arijigoku let out a shout of "Heil Satan!" before exploding.
