Arson Darksoul is one of the main protagonist from Disciples: The Sacred Lands, Horde Saga, The Awakening scenario. He was an undead leader, one of Mortis' important henchmen.

Biography[]

Arkon Darksoul was one of the leaders of the hordes of the undead, an important minion of Mortis who was assigned to the goddess and the major commanders. His mission was to lead the first major attack of the undead against the dwarves of the Mountain Clans and take the first step for the goddess to take revenge on Wotan, who killed her husband, Gallean, and became dead. The most important part of his mission was to destroy a giant named Umbolg, who was one of the most important leaders of the dwarfs and defended by several warriors.

He could not use the most important forces of the undead, but he had enough resources, warriors, monsters and undead to launch a more serious attack. Due to the mountains, the march was not easy and they could only go in one direction, but there were peasants, humans and elves in the areas around them, providing excellent supply as new, undead servants. Arkon started the invasion, killed all the people in his territories and attacked the elves and siege the small city of Gallamyr, which was not difficult to conquer. The leader of thee elf guards, with his last strength, threatened the dead that the Moutain Clans are they friends and they would take revenge for them and then he died. However, Arkon was absolutely not interested in such empty threats, but was much more busy with the invasion. Now that the small city has conquered, there was a smaller base where he could further increase the influence of the Undead Hordes and the resurrect and deploy of the new undead minions and slaves begins, but he also left guards behind him so that the city would not remain completely defenseless and vulnerable against a possible attack.

Arkon was then able to continue east, then south, towards the city of Venusia, but the path was guarded by a large bear, but the animal was killed by the undead. He then attacked the city, which was defended by humans, led by a squire, Kurt Torran, but they were not sufficiently well trained and armed, and were easily defeated by the undead, with now experienced monsters and warriors. After that, he decided to first weaken the dwarves' forces and only then take control of the rest of the territory, so he set off towards the enemy's lands. His first opponent was a loremaster, Calderic the Sage, whose forces he completely destroyed, then killed him as well, and then continued to advance into the dwarven territories. The dwarves had another army, one of the king's bodyguards, Hrolf, who was a more experienced warrior and leader, but his army was not too strong for him, so Arkon defeated him too and killed all the enemies. The dwarf leader made the mistake of wanting to conquer the city of Venusia immediately after Calderic's defeat, but Arkon expected a counterattack from the dwarves, as their arrogance and pride were notorious, so knew that they would not let the first defeat go unnoticed and would respond in a short time, so he could prepare for the counterattack. He then attacked and captured the city of Otzwall, where a dwarf, Syric, threatened them that the Mountain Clans would destroy the undead, but this did not interest Arkon at all. After capturing the city, he left a garrison behind, then kept he promise and set about conquering the neighboring territories, in which he encountered no serious challenge. The dwarves did not attempt to retake the city of Otzwall, but rather sought to regain their territorial influence by retaking the mines, but Arkon arrived at that time and destroyed the last, smaller forces of the dwarves. Then the undead leader set off south with the strongest undead soldiers and monsters to find Umbolg, who was already waiting for them, but the giant was not alone, but there were also dwarven warriors by his side and a tenderfoot who kept increasing their damage with potions. However, Arkon then used Mortis' curses and disease-causing spells against them, which significantly weakened the giant and his companions, and then the undead launched an attack, slaughtering the giant and everyone with him.

Mortis's vengeance began with a very great success, as Arkon not only killed the giant and his warriors, but also conquered almost all the neighboring areas, eradicated every enemy and gained a new army for the dead with resources, gold and cities.
