However, after Armond discovers a host of drugs brought to Hawaii by Olivia Mossbacher and her friend, Paula. Armond fights with his conscious on whether to take them as a recovered addict, but succumbs to his temptation. During his internal conflict, Armond becomes increasingly stressed by Shane Patton's incessant entitlement, and succumbs to temptation to relieve his stress.
When drugged up, Armond's past of impulse and abuse reemerges. He initially becomes increasingly aggressive and tetchy. He steals pain medication from his pregnant colleague, Lani. His hypersexual nature reveals itself when he flirts with his young employee, Dillon and married hotel guest, Mark Mossbacher. He reveals to Mark that he is gay and unduly propositions Mark.
Paula and Olivia confront Mark after learning from Tanya McQuaid-White that the staff are in possession of it. Armond returns the backpack with the drugs inside. After another altercation with Shane, Armond steals back the drugs and takes them. He then gives Shane a false number to speak with his manager. That evening, Armond continues to try seduce Dillon. The pair are caught in a sexual position later by Shane. Realising they have been spotted, the two panic. Dillon tries to confirm if he is not working tomorrow which had been agreed by Armond prior to them sleeping together. Armond reneges on his promise, leaving Dillon frustrated.
The following morning, Shane hints to Armond that he is aware of what he saw, and raises the false number he received. Armond panics and tries his best to appease Shane by upgrading their room to a bigger suite. After Mark and Nicole Mossbacher are robbed and assaulted by Kai, an employee who Paula forms a connection with and agrees to steal from the Mossbachers, Armond runs from the police who arrive to investigate the crime. He then compensates the Mossbacher's bill at the hotel, and that evening condemns his guests in front of employee, Belinda, deeming them the Lotus-Eaters, referring to the Odyssean myth of the Lotus-Eaters.
Armond tells the Mossbachers that he has located their stolen items, and reveals that it was Kai who robbed them. causing a larger rift between Paula and Olivia. Armond receives a call from headquarters and learns he is being fired due to Shane's interference, and becomes sworn on revenge. He invites Dillon to his office where he begins taking copious amounts of drugs, and acknowledging the transactional nature of their relationship.
After learning of the termination of his employment, Armond delivers a fantastic service to his guests and returns to take more drugs with his employees. The boys strip down, and Armond watches on creepily, excluded from their revelry. Dizzyingly intoxicated, Armond begins overthinking about Shane and gets up and leaves the boys to track him down. Confident, Armond staggers down the halls where he enters Shane's room. Armond then finds Shane's luggage and defecates on his clothes.
Shane returns to his room with Armond in it, who hides in another room. Shane detects the prank by smelling Armond's faeces. Outraged and disgusted, Shane calls to the main desk. Whilst distracted, Armond tries to escape but cannot. In an effort to monitor the room, he makes a noise, which prompts Shane to retrieve his self-defence knife. With Shane armed and coming around the corner on one side, Armond tries to escape the other and is stabbed by Shane who runs from the scene. Armond collapses into a bath tub and begins to bleed out, and dies. Armond's body is discovered, which Shane denies any involvement in. His remains are airlifted from the country as Shane watches on.
