The Army of the Underworld are the main antagonists of the Regular Show season 4 premiere half hour special "Exit 9b".
They are comprised of various past foes of Mordecai and Rigby summoned by Garrett Bobby Ferguson Jr. through the portal in Exit 9b.
History[]
After completing Exit 9b, Garrett Bobby Ferguson Jr. opened a portal to the underworld and summoned all the past foes of Mordecai and Rigby to take revenge, including his father Garrett Bobby Ferguson. However, Mordecai, Rigby and the rest of the gang soon receive assistance from the Ducks, the Guardians of Eternal Youth, Death, and Techmo, leading to a massive battle between the two sides. Eventually though, Mordecai and Rigby are able to get Benson's signature on the document stating that the park is a historical landmark, thus calling for the destruction of Exit 9b.
However, G.B.F. Jr. points out that there is one missing employee - Thomas, who started work the day he took over. G.B.F. Jr. threatens to shoot Thomas unless Mordecai hands over the document - Mordecai gives G.B.F. a folder, and Thomas is kicked over the edge of the freeway ramp. However, Benson is able to swoop down and save Thomas, while Mordecai and Rigby reveal that they'd make a last-minute switch to the document folder, meaning that Thomas is able to sign the document and save the park at the last minute. This causes the portal to suck all the villains back in.

Trivia[]
- Logically, it doesn't make sense for the Night Owl and the Games Store Manager to join the group since the former was prevented from going evil after his timeline was erased and the latter made peace with Mordecai and Rigby.
