Artho is a minor antagonist in Gothic. He was a convict in the Colony, and later he became an ore baron and Gomez second bodyguard with Scar.
Biography[]
Artho was a convict who was taken to the Mining Colony to mine ore. King Rhobar II sent the thirteen most powerful mage of Myrtana to create a magical barrier around the valley so that the convicts could not escape. However, the barrier became much larger because the power of The Sleeper disturbed the balance of magic and even the mages were trapped. The barrier distracted the guards and it was then that Gomez and his minions killed the king's men except the mages. Arthro took part in the uprising, for which he later became an ore baron and one of Gomez's bodyguards.
After the Old Mine collapsed, Gomez plans to attack the Free Mine, which the fire mages oppose. Then the ore barons kill the mages, and Gomez locks himself in his castle. But, the nameless hero acquires a teleport rune to the castle then he teleport to the castle. He kills Barthol and Scar, seriously injuring Rave. Artho was the last man to get in the way of the hero before he fought against Gomez. After a short fight, Artho fell and died.
Personality[]
Artho was much quieter than the more ore barons and spoke little. At the same time, he had the same uppish and arrogant style as the other ore barons.
Powers and Abilities[]
Artho was one of the strongest fighter in the Old Camp alongside Scar and Raven. A great swordsman with good physical strength and toughness.
