~ Arthur to Kim Wexler after she confronts him |
Arthur is a recurring character in the crime drama series Better Call Saul.
He is a member of Gus Fring's security team and is an enforcer under Mike in facilitating Gustavo’s drug empire.
He was portrayed by Howard Ferguson Jr.
History[]
Past[]
Arthur was most likely vetted by Mike to become a member of Gus Fring's security team, carefully selected by to maintain discretion and professionalism during the early 2000s operations in Albuquerque.
Better Call Saul[]
Season 4[]
Arthur and Nick are spying on Werner Ziegler's men through the security cameras. Mike tells them to keep an eye on Kai, who seems to be particularly troublesome from this crew.
Outside the strip club where the crew was meant to take a break and unwind, Mike finds Nick and Arthur confronting a drunken Kai outside, who has been thrown out for making unwanted sexual advances towards one of the strippers. The owner threatens to call the police, but Mike bribes him in exchange for allowing Kai to return home and sleep it off. Kai reacts angrily, but stands down when Mike challenges him. Arthur watches the scene as his boss displays his toughness and chastises Kai.
Season 6[]
Arthur is one of the men keeping Gus safe following the news Lalo Salamanca has returned and is involved with the security in keeping his decoy house safe.
He also follows Kim Wexler while driving his partner's car and is staked outside a diner keeping an eye on her per Mike’s instructions. When confronted, he stares up at her plainly and apologizes simply before only driving out of the parking lot as to not bring more heat on the situation.
He is also one of the men who cleans up Kim and Jimmy's house after Howard Hamlin's murder and to further continue the story that he went on a cocaine binge and died rather than having been killed. Mike has Arthur drive Howard's prized car to a warehouse owned by Gus so it may be disposed of near California to continue the grim cover up.
Future[]
Arthur's involvement in Gus Fring's organization appears to have ended after the events of Better Call Saul, as he is not seen or mentioned in Breaking Bad. Following the conclusion of Better Call Saul, Arthur likely moved on to work elsewhere, possibly in a different criminal enterprise or security role. He may be one of the few men in Fring's security team to have kept his mouth shut and not have appeared as a loose end when Lydia Rodarte-Quayle wished to kill people who might rat to the DEA.
