Arthur Brodie is a character in the Criminal Minds episode "Hamelin".
He is portrayed by Jack Erdie.
Brodie is a convicted sex offender, having been arrested for sex-related offences multiple times. Eventually, he was convicted of statutory rape and served 12 years in prison before being paroled, on the condition that he was to have no contact with children.
During the investigation into the child abductions committed by Wayne Hollis, the BAU begin searching through Iowa sex offenders and come to suspect Brodie, as he was paroled a month before the abductions began and called in sick to work the night before the children were abducted. When BAU agents Tara Lewis and Spencer Reid find Brodie, he is outside a school watching two girls talking, presumably planning to assault them. Brodie comes up with various excuses for them not to search his van, before attacking Tara when this fails, only to be easily subdued by Reid and arrested.
Back at the station, Brodie is interrogated by agents Prentiss and Rossi, who conclude that he's not smart enough to have carried out the abductions due to his nonsensical defences. However, Brodie is still reincarcerated, charged with violating his parole and assaulting a federal agent.
