Biography[]
It is known that Arturo had Dominican ethnicity. At some point, he met Gloria Mendoza and started a romantic relationship with her. During this time, Arturo became physically violent toward Gloria, where he would beat her if she spoke ill of him to his face. However, whenever Gloria would leave Arturo for his abuse, he would come back, begging for forgiveness.
As typical in many abusive relationships, Gloria often forgave Arturo and allowed him back into her and her sons' life. Gloria would justify to her Aunt, Lourdes, that whilst Arturo was abusive, he never beat her children. However, one day, Arturo hit Benito, Gloria's son. In panic, Gloria fled with her sons using the cash taken from SNAP fraud. However, before she can leave, a disgruntled customer calls the police on her, having her arrested.
After Gloria is incarcerated, Arturo broke into her flat to steal the SNAP funds. However, Arturo's fate is sealed when he knocks over a santeria candle and a door locks, trapping him in a fire which kills him.
