Asmodeus is the main antagonist of the 2022 action/romantic comedy anime series Engage Kiss.
She is voiced by Amanda Lee.
Biography[]
Asmodeus is an ancient demon who had made contracts with humans for hundreds of years all to accomplish the goal of creating an offspring that could serve as a gateway to allow other demons to enter the human realm. Miles Morgan, an agent of the Bayron City Police Department, makes a deal with the demon in order to cure his ailing daughter. Even when the daughter is healed per agreement, there was no going back for Morgan who became one of the Demonically Possessed (humans who made contracts with demons).
Sixteen years prior to the start of the series, Asmodeus switches places with Shu's mother (likely killing her) and conceives Kanna. Miles arrives at Hive Three Mine to initiate the ritual to release Asmodeus. Upon being summoned, Isamu Ogata, Shu's father, then instigates an explosion that kills him and Asmodeus' physical form. Shu himself survived due to Miles using his Demonically Possessed abilities.
After rediscovering the wreckage that was formerly the mine, Sharon and Kisara battle each other when Sharon tries to kill Kanna to prevent the gate from being opened. Asmodeus generates visages to attack the two girls with and nearly strangles Kisara to death if not for Shu's on-time arrival. Upon being seemingly killed, Kanna stabs Kisara leading to a cliffhanger.
