Kara, look out there. Nothing but pain and ruin. On Earth, you will feel no pain. It's the promised land we've been waiting for. The Scrolls of Rao have foretold of one who will rise from the ashes and start anew in paradise, where he will live as a god among men. Your father will be the one to lead us to salvation. It is a fate which cannot be changed.
~ Augo to Kara.

Augo was a young Kryptonian schoolmate of Kara Zor-El and an antagonist in the six-part animated web series Kara and the Chronicles of Krypton.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Unbeknownst to Kara, Augo was a servant of her father Zor-El. He was convinced that his destiny was to die on Krypton along with his master. Augo believed in the prophecy of Rao which foretold Krypton's destruction and the resurrection of their race on the planet Earth with great powers.

Chronicles of Krypton[]

Zor-El and the Disciples of Zod planned to heavily attack Kandor, including the school that Kara went to. To protect his daughter, Zor-El sent Augo to ensure Kara was safely away from the intended target. At school, just before entering, Kara meets Augo who tried to persuade her to leave instead of attending class.

The two had an obvious romantic connection. Kara explained that she couldn't miss class, because her father will know, and turns to run into the building. However, a warning from Augo stopped her, just as the building explodes. In the aftermath of the explosion, a large crystal column landed on Kara but Augo saved her by lifting it off her.

Augo took her to safety at her home. Concerned for her father, Kara went to tell Zor-El about the attacks when she discovered his connection with Zod. Zor-El revealed he was devoted to Rao's prophecy in which he will travel to Earth. Kara asked him if he would sacrifice his own daughter's life, but Zor-El said that she was never in danger because his disciple Augo was watching. Kara then ran into the crystal ore storeroom where Zor-El and Augo look for her.

Zor-El then found her and Augo took her away to her house while Zor-El revealed his plans to ignite Krypton's core so that Rao's prophecy would be fulfilled. At Kara's home, she and Augo were overlooking the damage caused to Kandor. Augo was placed with Kara by Zor-El to watch over her so that she wouldn't stop him from igniting Krypton's core. Kara pretended to believe in her father's plan, and Augo told her that Zor-El will be a god among men on Earth where they will rule. Augo tells Kara he loves her and she told him the same but she pushed him into the elevator that sent him into Krypton's core. He was killed when Krypton exploded.
