The Awakened Chests & Brewing Stands are the secondary antagonists of the AvM Shorts Season 3 episode "The Witch".
They are two sets of blocks brought to life by the Witch using her awakening potions to help her in the final fight with the Stick Gang. They become mindless abetting drones to the Witch and give her a large amount of potions for her to use to turn the gang into dyes and burn them alive.

Animation vs. Minecraft Season 3[]
The Witch[]
During the Climax of the final fight, all the stick figures are saved by Blue and turned back to their stick figure form. They pull out their diamond swords as the Witch prepares more potions to throw. They suspect her to throw the potions at one of them but instead she spins around and throws the potions inside of her hut. The potion she threw hit the table inside which had brewing stands on it, but also had two chests next to it. One on the floor next to the table and another placed onto the wall of the hut.
They are awakened and are brought to life. The Chests throw out numerous potion items out of themselves as the Brewing Stands jump inside of them and catch all of the ingredients. They automatically make 2 sets of potions for the Witch to use and jump outside of the hut and stand at the doorway. They throw a entire set of potions at her which she catches in her hand. The brewing stands then refills themselves up with potions instantly. The Witch attempts to hit Blue with a potion but Green notices she is about to throw another so he pulls Blue out of the way and goes into the other potion while Yellow deflects the first. The Chests and Brewing Stands then start throwing out numerous potions to try to turn them into blocks. The Stick Gang manage to deflect most of the flying potions the blocks are launching at them but then two hit Red and Yellow then The Second Coming. Blue turns back Yellow, Red, and The Second Coming to their stick figure forms and continues to fight The Witch.
The Left Chest and Brewing Stand throw a single potion out which The Witch catches and throws it to Red. Unlike the other block forms, this one turned Red into a interactive block called TNT. The Witch catches Red's TNT body and lights it with a flint and steel. She throws him back at the Stick Gang to blow them all up but Blue turns Red back to normal before he can blow up. The Witch grabs the Left Chest and Brewing Stand and proceeds to throw them up and over the Stick Gang. The Brewing Stand rains down potions onto the Stick Gang which turns Yellow into a hive, Yellow turns back to normal but then Green's turned into a slime block. On the other side the other Brewing Stand turns The Second Coming into a wooden plank, but he turns back to normal by Blue yet again. After a while Blue turns Red into a Iron Golem and attempts to crush The Witch. She doges and The Right Brewing Stand turns him into a bed. Green manages to stab the Left Chest. When the Right Brewing Stand and Chest decided to turn Yellow into another Witch, the two of them knocked down the Left Chest which Green proceeded to pull the sword out of to arm himself.
The Left Chest gets back up and both the Chests and Brewing Stands proceed to turn all of the Stick Gang into dyes when Blue ran out of potions that not only transformed his friends, but also turned them back to normal if they got hit with one of the Brewing Stand's potions. Red's pig drinks up all of the potions that fell when the double chest in the hut fell down onto it's cage during the fight. The pig gets hit with a bunch of effects and breaks the cage open. The force of it breaking the cage and running at The Witch knocked the two Chests into the air, but also broke both of the Chests lids. The force also killed the Brewing Stands which throw out all of their potions and the ones inside the Chests.
An Actual Short[]
It's Alive![]
Blue gives all of his friend's awakening potions to use on some random blocks of their choosing. The Second Coming throws one at both his chest and crafting table he had next to him. The potion awakens both of the blocks. The Chest opens it's lid and turns to The Second Coming. When the Crafting Table started to move, it turned over to it. It launched some items out of itself and the crafting table them into a iron pickaxe. Red grabs it and tosses it up into the air and catches it. He looks at Green who looks at the pickaxe. The Chest goes up to Red and grabs a hold of the pickaxe. The Chest pulls it out of his hand and 'eats' it back up. The Chest and Crafting Table turn and hop away from Red and Green. Later, when Blue, Red, Green, and The Second Coming stop Yellow from trying to awaken a command block due to past events, The Chest hops to Green, kicks him with it's body, and 'eats' Green.
Personality[]
The Chests and Brewing Stands themselves are pretty mindless and emotionless due to their behavior being completely based on their block, and or what other people tell them to do. They lack control and just do whatever The Witch wants them to do, which was to turn the Stick Gang into blocks or items so she can kill them.
