Biography[]
During the First Order-Resistance War, Ax Tagrin, a relentless bounty hunter, pursued Resistance spies on behalf of the First Order. One of his early targets was Norath Kev and his droid 2BR-NTB. After tracking them to Vargo Spaceport on Varkana, Tagrin cornered the pair, capturing Kev but destroying 2BR-NTB in the process. However, the hunt didn’t end there, as because Kev sent out a distress signal allowing Targrin to get more money. Soon after, Tagrin encounter more Resistance operatives Kazuda Xiono, Jarek Yeager, Synara San, and Xiono’s droid CB-23 in Kev's apartment. The operatives manage to flee Targrin but when they interrogated Lechee who told them that Tagrin put Kev in his ship in a spaceport. Targrin manage captured Kazuda Xiono, Jarek Yeager, and CB-23, trapping them aboard his ship, the Dalkor Dagger.
Contacting Pyre, he decided to meet the First Order at the rendevue point. When CB-23 sabotaged one of the ship's engines, it caused the Dalkor Dagger to crash back onto Varkana, preventing Tagrin from delivering his prisoners to the First Order. As the Resistance members attempted to flee, Kev and Xiono escaped on a speeder bike, although CB was knocked out while San and Yeager, attempt to fight him off but Targrin manage to overpower the two with his vibro-ax and the three were captured by Tagrin. He brought them to Commander Pyre, but with two key agents still at large, he was denied his bounty.
Despite this setback, Tagrin remained determined to catch the spies. His breakthrough came when he discovered Kev and Xiono disguised as stormtroopers and overheard Xiono mention his shuttle parked nearby. Tracking the shuttle to a hidden location, Tagrin used signal-tracing to pinpoint the Colossus, the Resistance’s secret base, concealed in a nearby gas giant. This discovery would finally lead to his reward. However Captain Doza saw through this and manage to escape the First Order while leaving behind some of the Ace Squadron to help Kaz and Yeager.
Xiono and Kev helped Yeager and San escape, they returned to the shuttle, unaware that Tagrin was lying in wait. As they attempted to start the shuttle, Tagrin revealed himself and ambushed them. Xiono shut the shuttle doors, but Tagrin mange to break out and throw a flash grenade that blinded everyone. He nearly captured Xiono and Kev, but with the help of CB-23, she powered the ship and blasted Tagrin into a wall, knocking him out. The Resistance spies managed to make their escape, leaving Varkana behind.
