Axxin, Prince Axxin, or formerly known as the Engineer, is the main antagonist of the 2024 mexican animated film Uma & Haggen.
He was voiced by the mexican voice actor Hector Emmanuel Gomez.
Appearance[]
He is a teenage boy with a white complexion and a thin but certainly tall body. He has black hair and silver eyes. He wears some sort of grayish tiara with a red gem in the center, as well as dark gray earrings. His clothing is based on a type of warrior armor with gray, red and black tones. His loincloth is black and he has gray knee pads and some kind of dark gray shoes. On his face, he has 2 light gray lines painted.
When posing as the Engineer, he wears pre-Hispanic and futuristic style armor of various shades of grey, black, and probably gold. He wears a dark mask with glowing green eyes, which covers his face and changes his voice.
Personality[]
At the beginning, Axxin is shown to us as an empathetic, sympathetic, strategist young man who cared about the crises facing the empire, and even more so with the death of the emperor, being "willing" to deny the throne to give it to Uma ( something that was not done before, since only men could govern). However, when revealed, he turned out to be greedy, manipulative, psychopathic, and humiliating. In a single word, he would do whatever was necessary to ascend to the leadership of Aizsa Munna, without caring about having to oppress his people with an iron fist.
History[]
He first appears holding Uma's hand, comforting her after her father's death.
Later, he goes with her to the priest's temple. There, he tells Uma that he is accompanying her so as not to leave her alone. She adds that Ulom insists on telling her something important. Suddenly, he begins to shake and he is alerted, seeing the priest come out of the bathroom.
As the priest tells her about the special event for her, Axxin demands that he tell het at once, making a mistake by not having named him "Great Priest", winking at the girl mockingly. After she says that women cannot rule, Ulom reveals that Axxin He gave up his future power on the throne to give it to her. He warns him that he can hear him. When Uma tries to change his mind, he tells her that it's okay, since it is her right and I knew it would surprise her. When they had told him, he had also been confused. In this, he behaves nobly towards Uma.
When Ulom reveals the Emperor's last will, Axxin adds that everyone will help her. After the priest shows him about the sacrifice to the moon and what could happen, Axxin hugs Uma so she doesn't get scared. At Ulom's insistence on the princess's decision, The young man tells him that he is not willing to allow that. At her crying and anger, he is astonished and wants to follow her to comfort her. However, Nana stops him by the arm and he tries in vain to free himself from her, although he succeeds by falling abruptly.
Later, when Xannos finds Uma and Haggen, Axxin appears among those gathered at the sacrificial temple to be with her. When Ulom thinks the Viking boy is a spy, Axxin warns him not to be too clever and demands that he respect Uma. When another tremor appears, he looks worried. In the face of the priest's insistence on sacrificing her, Axxin continues to protect her. He is then attacked by one of the guards and left unconscious.
After a while, he reappears disguised as the Engineer. There, he tells Ulom that he is a useless old man. Given the man's excuse that they did not expect them to jump from the aqueduct, He gets angry and pushes him violently, shouting that they need Uma. Otherwise, the ceremony cannot take place and they will lose everything, pushing his leg to probably step on it. When she asks for mercy and Xannos goes after her, Axxin responds that it is better to find her, or you won't have to wait for the next earthquake to be crushed. Then he disappears into the smoke of the underground factory.
Once out of there and back to his true identity, he meets with Nana, Tezlah and Nita. When he sees the latter, he asks Tezlah why he brought her if she is still small. Suddenly, a new tremor begins, in which he is almost suffocated by Nana, though she manages to free herself, tells him not to do it again, and asks the others if they are okay. Then he tells everyone that this is why they are gathered together, since they need to help Uma so that he can return to the city and take the throne without problems. On the question of Tezlah On how to stop the tremors without sacrifice, Axxin tells that his Father did not think that this was necessary, since there was another ceremony. It relates that 3 tears of Uma must be offered when the moon is over the temple. When he orders to look for her among the 4, Ulom discovers them. Later, back in his other identity, he appears before the people of Aisza Munna to tell them that he will accept the throne with great regret but promises to lead them into the future. When he trembles again, he advises them not to fear since Ulom and he together can stop him, making them believe that they have made him cease.
Already in the territory of Subterránea, he notices some footprints that lead deep into the jungle. He concludes that they passed by there and hopes to find her.
After a while, he appears to meet Uma, giving Fungo reason about the contamination of Subterranea. There, he is hugged by the girl. When Uma doubts the others' condition, he answers that things are very bad since the tremors have increased and it begins to cause consequential damage. Afterwards, he leaves with Uma with him, but they are stopped by Xannos, but Haggen hits him and frees them. After convincing him that she is returning voluntarily, Axxin takes her away.
During the journey, they go in a carriage and he ends up being hugged by Uma. When They arrive at Aisza Munna, who looks somewhat confused/sad about Uma's will. He then takes the princess to Ulom. When she seeks protection from him, Axxin pushes her away and tells the priest to hurry up and start the ceremony. Even though Uma is surprised, he doesn't say anything and leaves the place.
After tying up Uma, Axxin reveals himself to be Aisza Munna's Engineer. There, he tells her the whole plan he orchestrated to get rid of his own father and her father, all in order to obtain the throne, implying the complicity of Xannos and Ulom. Furthermore, it is discovered that the earthquakes were caused by him all this time. He adds that the sacrifice is not necessary but he does it so that he is the only heir left, And although Uma tells him that he won't get away with it, he answers that they will know in 2 minutes. Axxin pulls the lever to begin the crystal ritual. Seeing Haggen in a Globallena alongside Sopp and Fungo, he orders Xannos to stop them. Axxin says goodbye to Uma, telling her that he will return her to her father. After the crystal crushes her, Axxin believes he has won. However, he is frightened when he sees Uma transform into the warrior goddess, without understanding what is happening. In the face of Ulom's fear that the goddess has come for them, Axxin yells at him not to be a coward and reminds him that this was going to happen, but they are prepared.
This one turns on one of the 3 titans hidden among the pyramids of the moon, and fiercely attacks Uma. He reprimands her by saying that he will not allow him to turn everyone against him, Calling his soldiers to contain the rebellion of the people. Although these succeed for a certain time, they are easily defeated with the alliance of the creatures of Subterranea, led by old Fungo. Meanwhile, Axxin and Ulom use their Titans to seriously injure Uma, managing to cut off one of her arms and immobilize her. However, after Haggen finished off Xannos and his titan and fell unconscious, He is terrified by the fury of the goddess. He orders Ulom to destroy it, although the priest is also defeated along with his titan. Being the last one, Axxin tries to attack the goddess, but she overloads his titan. Not accepting his future fate, he becomes enraged and tries to attack her.Without hearing her say that his machine will not hold up, he laughs confidently. Predictably, the titan explodes with him inside, killing him instantly, being that his titan then crushes Ulom to death.
