The Battery Minded Tot Minder, better known as B.O.T.M., is a supporting character in animation YouTuber Xploshi's web trilogy THE SOULCORP SAGA, being the main focus of the trilogy's third entry, Soulcorp Shopping Channel.

He is a robotic servant created by Soulcorp who would act as an automated babysitter/caretaker, although the way he was designed was comedically unfitting for such a role; B.O.T.M. is loud, erratic, rude and vaguely murderous.

His voice-actor was credited as "anonymous".

Overview[]

B.O.T.M. is a robotic servant who is advertised to have many incredible and advanced capabilities that help him in his role as a caretaker. His robotic brain is composed of three chips - Smarts, Care and Humour. With his Smarts chip, he is able to locate his owner at any time, even when he's turned off. With his Care chip, he is said to have a caring, nurturing demeanour that helps him to take babies, and with his Humour chip, he has over nine trillion (9000000000000) jokes, and an advanced A.I. that helps him develop more. While the ad presents these as helpful features, the ad contradicts this completely:

  • His Care chip's capabilities are completely pointless as every single word out of B.O.T.M.'s mouth is either screamed at the top of his "lungs" or uttered in an unnerving, monotone robotic voice.
  • Among the trillions of jokes conjured by his Humour chip, the ones chosen to be shown in the advertisement are either meaningless, unintelligible nonsense or vaguely threatening miscellaneous.
  • His Smarts chip (judging by the comically nefarious nature of every single company within the Xploshi universe) is more than likely used to stalk anyone who owns a B.O.T.M.

B.O.T.M.'s "amazing" features don't stop at his chips, as he is fitted with several other capabilities. He is fitted with Soulcorp's patented mobility sphere, which allows him to traverse any terrain with ease. He is also fitted with "Babyvision", which while appearing as meaningless garble to the adult eye, is said to positively stimulate the mind of infants. As well as being a babysitter, B.O.T.M. also acts as an assistant for the elderly, being able to tell them the weather, diagnose ailments, and bring them beverages. These capabilities, however, are complete lies as shown in the commercial:

  • B.O.T.M. uses his mobility sphere to launch himself directly towards walls at top speed, likely destroying them.
  • B.O.T.M.'s "Babyvision" is just epileptic-shock-inducing flashing imageries. The imagery shown is likely unhealthy to infants, which is backed up by B.O.T.M. literally being shown torturing an infant in their crib with the flashing.
  • When asked by his elderly owner to tell him the weather, B.O.T.M. screams "rain" directly in their face and doesn't elaborate.
  • When asked by his elderly owner to grab him a glass of water, B.O.T.M., unprompted, tells the man that he will die soon and that his death will be identified as pneumonia, implying that B.O.T.M. intends to end the man's life and frame it as pneumonia. He then presents the man his water, and drops it on the floor.

B.O.T.M., for obvious reasons, is never mass-produced like originally intended. He is thrown in the bin in an alleyway.
