Baal (Disgaea)

Baal is the overarching antagonist of the Disgaea series.

Personality[]

Baal throughout most of his appearances is mute, leaving most of his personality to be unknown.

In Disgaea 3, Baal gains the body of an Eryngi and has the ability to talk for the first time in the series.

In Disgaea 4, Baal applies to the job in the Valvatorez Party for unknown reasons, after fighting, he is hired.

Biography[]

Baal is an aggregate of evil souls that have existed for millions of years, as such, he is a naturally evil being that appears anywhere in the multiverse in order to cause chaos and destruction, if he ever dies, then he appears somewhere else in the multiverse no worse for wear.

At some point, he fought King Krichevskoy, Laharl's father who sealed him away at the cost of his own life. He eventually escaped and fought Laharl, who managed to defeat him.

Baal would go on to appear in other entries in the Disgaea series and other NIS games such as Makai Kingdom where he stole Zetta's destroyed body and tried to kill him.

Disgaea RPG[]

In Disgaea RPG, Baal's role is expanded dramatically with him being the main antagonist of the game.

In this game, Baal hires the other major antagonists of the Disgaea series as his pawns and has them use the malice of thousands of Prinnies in order to make a massive Prinny Bomb that would destroy the multiverse upon its detention.

The Prinny Bomb would be defused by Captain Gordon, the rest of the Defenders of Earth, Almaz and Sapphire, halting Baal's plans temporarily.

Makai Senki Disgaea[]

Baal appears in the trailer for the anime Makai Senki Disgaea where he attacks Laharl on sight with a giant sword in an attempt to kill him, however, Laharl catches the sword and knocks it away before throwing a powerful ball of energy at him, destroying Baal and Laharl's castle by accident.
