~ Baal Lukor's breakdown. |
'Lukor, also known by his title Baal Lukor, is a minor antagonist in Gothic. He was one of the sect camp gurus and later the leader of the templar group that tasked with researching in the orc cemetery.
Biography[]
Lukor was one of the convict in the Colony who, under the leadership of Y'berion, left the castle, where Gomez and the ore barons took over the rule. Three camps were formed, the Old Camp, the New Camp, and the Sect Camp. Lukor was in the Sect Camp where people had different religious ranks. His rank was baal and hence the name Baal Lukor. Y'berion believed that they could finally make contact with the deity they worshiped, the Sleeper. However, this required a focus stone and a magic book, the Almanac. A nameless convict who became known in all three camps obtained these relics. However, with the power of the focus stone, they were given only a vision in which an orc warrior stood in front of an altar. Then Y'berion lost consciousness.
Cor Angar believed the message of the vision was that their deliverance had to do with the orcs. There was an orc cemetery nearby and he thought the answers were there. Baal Lukor went to the cemetery with some templars to find answers. The nameless hero went after them and, with the help of Talas, he found the orc cemetery. The orcs killed most of the templars, only Lukor and some of his men who searched the ruins inside survived. The hero saw the orcs attacking them and helped them defend themselves. After a short fight, the orcs all died. Lukor was surprised that Y'berion had not come to the cemetery and that he was unconscious. Lukor thought he had lost too much and could not go back empty-handed. He said they were also sent by Cor Angar, but they did not know that there would be so many orcs in the cemetery. There was a raid and the Templars had no chance. The nameless hero helped Lukor search the cemetery ruins. The hero found some ancient parchment pieces. Lukor individually did not understand the writings, but when he had all the pieces he could translate the parchment. It was a orchish spell scroll. Lukor realized that this was a teleportation spell, but it only worked in a certain place. There was a great hall in the cemetery with a strange aura. The hero used the scroll at one of the walls, which took him to a secret place. But the Sleeper was not found there, it was just another burial chamber. Lukor wanted to continue his research, but they found nothing but old weapons and a grave. Lukor completely collapsed that they could not find the Sleeper. He blamed the hero and wanted to sacrifice him because he believed that with the help of a blood sacrifice he would become a useful servant of the Sleeper and the deity would answer him. He took out his sword and was about to attack. However, the hero defended himself and killed the crazy fanatic. Baal Lukor died lying in his own blood without knowing the truth about the Sleeper.
Personality[]
Baal Lukor was a fanatical follower of the Sleeper, at the same time he was a friendly man. However, after a failure in the orc cemetery, he went mad completely because of his fanaticism. He was so insane that he even wanted to kill the nameless hero and sacrifice just because he wanted contact the Sleeper.
