Curator Vronsky, better known as Baba Yaga, is a minor antagonist in Season 2 of Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated based loosely on the hag of folklore.
Biography[]
As Velma and Hot Dog Water go to Russia, to do a mission for Mr. E. They come across this abandoned hut, unbeknownst to them what will happen next. It is Baba Yaga's hut and its famous chicken legs appear and ruin the Russian docks. They bring the hut back to Crystal Cove and the gang investigate it, and a piece of the planispheric disc is hidden in there. The gang fight for "who found it first" and then the hut shows it's supernatural form by chucking the gang out and Baba Yaga appears out of the hut, cackling at the gang. She chases the gang, knocking Shaggy out and the audience are left on suspense. After when Shaggy wakes up, the gang think of a plan to trap her, and they succeed by using crossbows to trip the hut. It is revealed to be not a her, but Curator Vronsky. He disguised himself as Baba Yaga to scare people away from his smuggling operation of stolen Faberge eggs. Using knowledge he obtained from his time in the Spetsnaz, he was able to modify the Baba Yaga house to move and be controlled by himself.
