In "Tale of Two Mice", they were mice instead of cats. They were trying to steal the cheese from the refrigerator, and to avoid the cat who would stop them. Babbit tried to hypnotize Catstello to think that he's brave enough to defeat the cat, so Babbit wouldn't must come to steal cheese with him. Every attempt failed, but when the hypnosis wears off at a crucial moment, and Catstello went back to the mousehole. Catstello was fed up with Babbit making him the fall guy, and turned the tables on both Babbit and the cat, hypnotizing them to believe that they are a cowboy and a horse, succeeding in the process. The final scene proves that Catstello stole the cheese and ate it.

In "The Mouse-Merized Cat", they appeared as mice and Babbit attempted to hypnotize Catstello into doing different things. At the end, Catstello hypnotized them both to believe a cowboy and a horse.
