~ Baby Bottle whenever he gets mad, as well as his only speaking line. |
Baby Bottle is a minor antagonist in the Netflix TV series The Cuphead Show. He is a baby who uses his cuteness to trick people into letting people into their homes so that he can cause destruction and chaos. He first appears in the titular episode "Baby Bottle" and reappears in the episode "Don't Answer The Door".
He was voiced by Christina Millizia.
Personality[]
Baby Bottle seems mischievous, destructive, and annoying, as he runs around the house and breaks stuff. He seems to like Mugman more than Cuphead, as he calls him "Mama".
However, when Mugman says something that the baby doesn't like, he says "mama" disapprovingly. It also did this when Elder Kettle scoulded Baby Bottle, the former calling the latter a bad baby.
He would also use his "innocent" charm as a way to trick people into adopting him only to later cause havoc and destruction afterwards, showing that Baby Bottle is willing to use its own look as a way to charm to actively hurt others. (like when Baby Bottle bit down on Cuphead's finger, ripping off Elder Kettle's moustache off, and breaking the fishbowl as well almost killing the fish that was inside it if it werent for Cuphead sa ing the fish)
Baby Bottle also shows violent tendancies, as shown as it ripped of the head of Cuphead's wind-up teddy bear, much to Mugman's shock and horror, as well as cutting the candle chandelier down with Cuphead and Mugman hanging on it.
Baby Bottle is also shown to be willing to go beat up Elder Kettle after being scoulded for misbehaving, as well as being shown to be rude as when Baby Bottle sprayed milk from the top of his head to have Cuphead knock over antique china, even when Cuphead told him that it wasn't polite.
Season 1[]
Cuphead and Mugman are at home when Elder Kettle goes out for his weekly mustache waxing. After telling them the rules, he strictly tells them no fighting. However, they do just that for no reason once he leaves. Once they hear the doorbell, they go to answer it and they see a baby on the doorstep. With no guardian around, the two brothers take the child in as their own.
As Mugman manages for the baby warming up to him, yet it immediately cries when held by Cuphead. After being burped by Mugman, the latter leaves to go make some milk after it bites Cuphead's finger without him noticing.
Cuphead again tries to play with the baby bottle, but it sprays him with milk and causes rampant around the living room, almost breaking Elder Kettle's prized possession, his radio. Mugman then walks back in the room and sees the baby on the shelf after pushing off the bowl that contained the family's pet fish, which now lived inside of Cuphead's head now. As Mugman expresses doubts in the baby's actual behavior, they are locked outside by the baby.
When hearing the radio turn on, Cuphead and his pal Mugman burst through the door and pull the two apart. Mugman, still thinking that the baby is playing around, hands the latter a teddy bear he's had since he was at that age. The baby then rips off the teddy's head like a madman, deeply angering Mugman and calling the young one "a bad baby". This affects the child, and he now swiftly lurks around the room, destroying furniture, causing fires, and breaking the radio in attempts to harm them.
Elder Kettle then returns from his wax, and is angered by his radio being damaged, not the ruined living room, and turns towards the brothers. Cuphead and Mugman point to the baby then. Fooled by his age and looks, Elder Kettle has doubts until the kid rips off his mustache and he brutally beaten up when he calls out the baby for who he is, a bad baby. The Cup bros are then forced to drag Elder Kettle out of the house. After prepping up, the trio arrives back in, only for the baby to be sound asleep.
Later, they do the same thing to it that the original owners did to them, dumped the infant at another poor woman's home. However, they are glad to have the little nightmare out of their non-existent hair.
Season 3[]
Elder Kettle decides to prank Cuphead and Mugman as revenge for pranking him by putting a normal baby bottle in a baby casket alongside a note "saying please take care of baby" and ringing the doorbell. This causes Cuphead and Mugman to refuse to let it in, until a bear takes the bottle. They chase after the bear, thinking Baby Bottle might be killed. They find the milk left over after the bear drank it and return home sad when Elder Kettle reveals they pranked them. The bear returns to apologize for drinking the milk but when they leave, they are attacked by the real Baby Battle off-screen.

Trivia[]
- It's unknown of how Baby Bottle got dropped off in front of Elder Kettle's cottage, but it's likely due to the fact that a previous owner got rid of the mischievous baby for falling to being a victim, foreshadowing Baby Bottle's true nature.
