The Backup Dancer Zombie is one of the secondary antagonists of the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. He is the Disco Zombie's backup dancer, who takes part in fighting plants.

Biography

Plants vs. Zombies

The Backup Dancer made his debut in this game in the level 2-8, as he comes in a group of four to protect the Dancing Zombie in a rhombus shape. He dances along with him, and if one of them got killed, another zombie takes his place and supports the Dancing Zombie.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare series

The Backup Dancer returned in this game as one of the spawnable zombies. His primary weapon is the Disco Munch, as he bites enemies at close range. His second weapon is the Hard Rock Toss, as he tosses a rock at a far distance to hit enemies. Additionally, he gained extra health to avoid him being too similar to the Browncoat Zombie.

The Backup Dancer returned in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes as the primary card of Crazy Class, which prioritizes dancing cards. He also gained the mustache tribe due to his appearance.

Backup Dancer costs 1, with his strength and health are also 1. When attack, he creates a sound wave to damage enemies. Additionally, the Superpower Dance Off can also spawn this zombie besides the Disco Zombie.

The Backup Dancer returned in this game as one of the Nightclub Zombie hordes. His traits and abilities remained unchanged, but he can now be spawned independently beside spawning from the Disco Zombie.
