Bacon Dog is the main antagonist of the 2011 puzzle browser game, Sushi Cat 2, and a supporting character in the Sushi Cat series overall. He is a brown dog who stole Sushi Cat's plush wife.
Appearance[]
Bacon Dog is a round, light brown dog with dark brown eyes and nose, short limbs, and long ears. In his official sprite and in the cutscenes of Sushi Cat 2, Bacon Dog has a slightly dark monocle of fur around his left eye, which doesn't appear in later games or in the title screen. In his appearance in Sushi Catapult, Bacon Dog wears a blue bandana over his eyes, which appear blue.
Personality[]
In his initial debut as an antagonist, Bacon Dog was both arrogant and selfish, having shoplifted and eaten an entire bacon stand's supply without paying and shortly afterwards stole Sushi Cat's plush wife, not caring that this would upset Sushi Cat, even going as far as to actively prevent Sushi Cat from catching up to him and retrieving it.
However, after his defeat, Bacon Dog began acting much kinder to Sushi Cat, deciding to temporarily hold on to Sushi Cat's plush wife when Sushi Cat lost it at the parade, before celebrating when Sushi Cat managed to rescue him from his derailed float, seemingly no longer intending to keep Sushi Cat's plush wife for himself. Bacon Dog would also actively help Sushi Cat throughout his quest to get to a rocket and partake in the Race to the Moon by giving him an extra boost if he lost his momentum.
Biography[]
Sushi Cat 2[]
While Sushi Cat is shopping at the Tokyo Mall, Bacon Dog shoplifts and eats the entire stock of a bacon stand, before turning around, after which he sees Sushi Cat's plush wife and falls in love with it, immediately rushing towards the plush and taking her while Sushi Cat is still busy reaching the higher shelf. Sushi Cat looks back and realizes Bacon Dog stole his plush wife, prompting him to chase after the thieving mutt towards an elevator, only to have the elevator close on him just before he could reach Bacon Dog. Sushi Cat attempts to press the buttons to make the elevator come back, only to fail due to being too small to reach them. Sushi Cat then gets the idea to start eating sushi until he's big enough to reach the buttons and continue his chase after Bacon Dog.
After managing to reach the elevator's buttons, Sushi Cat exits the elevator and sees Bacon Dog enter the mall's cinema to see the movie Bacon Instinct. Sushi Cat attempts to follow after him to retrieve his plush wife from the thief, only for the ticket cashier pig to disallow him from entering the theater for not meeting the recommended size to enter.
After Sushi Cat eats enough sushi to make himself big enough to enter the theater, and discovers Bacon Dog watching the film as he's chewing on Sushi Cat's plush wife, much to Sushi Cat's horror. Sushi Cat attempts to enter the theater to stop him, but is unable to get through the now locked doors preventing him from entering the theater late. Sushi Cat then gets the idea to start eating sushi until he's big enough to break through the doors.
After managing to get big enough to smash through the doors to the theater, Sushi Cat realizes Bacon Dog had already left after the movie ended. This causes Sushi Cat to become saddened and dejectedly hop out of the mall and across the fields, before noticing a martial arts training class to his left, and decides to enter so he can train himself to be more prepared to retrieve his plush wife from Bacon Dog.
After successfully passing his martial arts training, Sushi Cat begins thinking about his plush wife before hopping towards a funfair, where he notices his stolen plush wife being held by Bacon Dog in the fair's ferris wheel. Sushi Cat approaches the ferris wheel so he can retrieve his stolen property from the thief, only for the the electrical box powering the ride to suddenly explode, putting Bacon Dog and the other riders in danger, much to Sushi Cat's horror. Sushi Cat then gets the idea to start eating sushi until he's as tall as the ferris wheel.
After eating enough sushi to make himself as tall as the ferris wheel, Sushi Cat hops over towards the broken ride, causing the much smaller Bacon Dog to be frightened and jump off of the ride, dropping Sushi Cat's plush wife in the process. As Sushi Cat celebrates, Bacon Dog then lands in a pile of pink female dog plushies, prompting him to bark in happiness as he finally has a girl plush of his own to love, thus redeeming himself.
Post-Redemption[]
Sushi Cat 2: The Great Purrade[]
After Sushi Cat accidentally loses his plush wife at the parade, Bacon Dog ends up finding her offscreen before innocently deciding to bring her onto his float until Sushi Cat is able to retrieve her. When Sushi Cat sees Bacon Dog with his plush wife from atop a building, he is relieved to have finally found her, only for Bacon Dog's float to suddenly go haywire and put him in danger. Sushi Cat then gets the idea to both save him and retrieve his plush wife by eating sushi until he's big enough to stop the float.
After Sushi Cat has gotten big enough, he successfully stops the float, thus saving Bacon Dog while finally retrieving his plush wife. Bacon Dog then celebrates the parade with Sushi Cat by happily dancing with him on top a stage.
Sushi Catapult[]
Bacon Dog takes on a more minor role, appearing as one of the Super Friends that will assist Sushi Cat in the level if he's lost momentum by flying towards him and bouncing him forwards. Through this, Bacon Dog willingly helps Sushi Cat in his quest to compete in the Race to the Moon contest.
