“ | Long ago, five guardians and the guardian God, King-Ohger, defeated the Bagnarak and saved humanity. The heroes became monarchs, forming five kingdoms along with their Shugods and creating a long-lasting peace. However, there exists a prophecy from an unknown source. After 2000 years of slumber, the Bagnarak will awaken from the depths of the Earth. Ahem, pardon me. And now, we are approaching the time of said prophecy. | „ |
~ The narrator (revealed to be Jerami Brasieri, the sixth King-Ohger). |
The Earth Empire Bugnarak, later known as the In-between Land Bugnarak, are a former war-mongering empire with aspirations to conquer the Earth and get revenge for a war 2000 years ago that serve as the main antagonists of the first arc of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.
Group History[]
Past[]
The Bagnarak originated from another planet that was destroyed by Dagded Dujardin through Glodi Leucodium, a reanimated denizen of that world who wiped out all life. The surviving Bagnarak are forced to leave their dead world to settle on Tikyuu; eating Shugod Souls to become insectoid beings while losing their memories and original selves in the process. But two millennia prior to the events of the series, a large group of humans from the planet Earth also took refuge with Dagded forcing them to attack the Bagnarak and drive them underground. However, Dagded left Kamejim and Glodi to continue sowing discontent and remove any obstacles which led to the former sowing a prophecy about the Bagnarak bringing doom 2000 years ago. As a result, humanity began discriminating against them and hunting them down until the Bugnarak Empire declared war on Earth despite it under the guidance of a protective robot-like being named King-Ohger. They came very close to succeeding in their conquest due to their special powers but, before they could claim victory however, five humans were given special powers by King-Ohger that allowed them to beat back the Bugnarak Empire and seal them deep below the surface of the Earth. However, there was a prophecy that they would return in 2000 years to seek their revenge.
Over those 2000 years, they managed to capture thousands of Shuugods and consume their energy; causing them to mutate from a more human-like appearance into their current far more monstrous appearances. Desnarak mutated into the most powerful of the Bagnarak and killed his rivals to be crowned emperor. Jeramie Brasieri, the son of a forsaken human king and a member of Bugnarak royalty, devised a prophecy about the humans' guardian deity King-Ohger defeating the Bagnarak when they resurface to have their revenge. Despite Jeramie's intent to unite his parents' people, his prophecy only added more fuel with both sides discriminating the other. This ultimately motivated Desnarak to encourage his people to be what the humans saw them and engage in suicidal attacks on the kingdoms.
King-Ohger[]
Following the prophecy, the Earth Empire Bugnarak makes their move to attack Shugoddam, the first human kingdom. Led by Emperor Desnarak himself, an army of Kaijim and Sanagim attack and devastate the kingdom and are immensely successful until Gira Hastie gains the power of Kuwagata-Ohger and forms King-Ohger which repels the invasion. Desnarak then reveals himself and Prime Minister Kamejim when Gira Hastie and Yanma kill a deployment and the King reveals that he wants to kidnap the Shugods before he and Kamejim leave to give them time to surrender the Shugods.
Eventually, after the re-emergence of Desnarak's relative Jeramie Brasieri as the sixth King-Ohger, the Bagnarak begins to fragment and distrust the Emperor as he begins to show vulnerability and his less ruthless side. Even the Sanagim attempt to take the throne which Desnarak represses but he is later defeated in battle by Jeramie. But Kamejim reveals himself as mastermind of the Bugnarak/Human war while murdering Desnarak for being talked into give peace a chance. In his final moments, before being vaporized, Desnarak entrusts the Bugnarak to Jeramie. With Jeramie in charge, the Bugnarak ceases to be a threat and becomes the sixth kingdom. However, the kingdom falls into disarray two years later when the Galactinsects arrive on Chikyuu, forcing many to scatter while their dead are used as reanimated canon fodder although some survive and begin to help all five kingdoms after Rcules Husty's redemption.
