Bagura is one of the main antagonists of the Bomberman Jetters anime adaptation. He's the leader of the Hige-Hige Bandits until Dr. Mechadoc ursurps him. Unlike the games, he is a sympathetic and eccentric man who is not truly evil.
In the past, Bagura was good friends with Dr. Ein until they both fell in love with Shirobon's grandmother, Momo. They both asked her out at the same time, to the success of neither, as she chose a different man who went on to become Shirobon's grandfather. The two thought she chose the other man and became rivals with each other.
This misunderstanding went on for a very long time, as when Bagura was told what really happened, he did not believe it.
At the end of the show, he and Dr. Ein make up again, however this does not last long as Bagura trips up, causing Momo to give him a handkerchief. This made Dr. Ein angry and he comically threw his drink into Bagura's face.
For a brief period of time, Bagura was ursurped by Dr. Mechadoc who had performed a coup'd'etat on him and locked him in a cage. When Mechadoc explains his plans to collide the planets to Bagura, Bagura is disgusted at Mechadoc and terrified of what would happen. Mechadoc did this as he had been planning for years: he held a grudge against Bagura for stealing his research, despite Bagura explaining to him that it did not work.
- Bagura is a complete 180 from his game counterpart. Here he is sympathetic and even friendly to the heroes, and is horrified at what Mechadoc is doing, something his game version would have the opposite reaction to.
